Keep learning something new all the time!

Recently I learn that wood will still age even under clear glass. I assumed that clear glass would be a snapshot in time of the wood, but light will still oxide and change the color over time. Especially Osage, it turn from a bright yellow to a dark brown. I have a bow in zebrawood, now I'm going to keep track as the years go by. Wondering if I should keep it mount in the living room instead of stored in the closet so it get more light exposure.

Anyone what to share pictures of their bows changing color over the year?

Wish I had pics of my Big River recurve when it was new (96) with the Tonkin Cane limbs almost white, now it has mellowed to a nice rich amber yellow.

Sorry no pic, but I have a Great Northern Ghost - all Osage made in the Mid 90's. It is almost Purple now - real pretty! Bob

I saw an Osage Blacktail Elite that was a VERY dark purple, the bows name was “Banana Elite” I don’t know if I like the dark amber or the dark purple color better, but both are elegant.
