Saturday March 30 - Waddill Wildlife Management Area - Baton Rouge LA - The Sling Spring - Opening of Amite River Traditional Archery Club's traditional 3 D archery fun shoots.

A great course setup there! Hoping to make this one

I am looking forward to shooting the Canehill Archery 3D Trad in NW Arkansas, this next Saturday. I have never been there, but it looks like they have a good thing going. I was looking at last year's scores and the top shooters were shooting in the 250 point range. I guess that's out of a 300 possible. I don't know much about it.

I was kind of surprised to see that the top scores were in the longbow class by just a couple of points or so. I figured the recurve shooters would do better but maybe there are closer stakes for the longbow shooters. Is that the way it is usually done or does everyone usually shoot at same distances?

And the selfbow shooters shot about as well, score wise. I don't expect to be very competitive, but I will be having fun.
