I am looking at the waldrop pac seat for some ground hunting. I looked it up and see they have a coupon code line on the order page and was wondering if there is a code that works or if they have any sales coming for the Holdays? Thanks for any input you might have.

Don’t know about the codes but it’s a great chair. I bought mine before the new take over. my understanding is they have improved them and cut cost.

They still ain’t cheap but to me worth the investment for serious ground hunters. I am thinking about ordering a second one.

I tried coupon codes when I ordered mine a couple months back, none worked.

Really like the chair, turning into one of my favorite pieces of gear.

Really helps you keep still.

Improved my staying power in the blind. Easier to shoot from that what I originally thought.

Great chair for serious ground hunters.

Great piece of equipment. The only problem with mine is it’s so comfortable. I fall asleep a lot in it.????

I like mine. It is very comfortable and so light that you forget it is strapped to your back. Unfortunately, it has not improved my shooting as I missed a doe sitting in mine last weekend.

Does anyone have the Turkey seat version, which is lower to the ground? I bought the original model and agree it’s a great piece of kit. I am thinking though it might be too high for Turkey hunting.

I've been thinking of getting one. Are there any negatives to the seat? Size limit? I'm 6'6" 230, boney butt and chronically sore back. Lol. I've tried most of the other cheap seats and they all have about an hour limit.

I've had one a couple weeks and thought I'd get it in time to beat the denuding of the canopy, aka the inevitable departure of the leaf cover. I didn't "make the cut. What I didn't know was they're production was a couple weeks behind on orders which is understandable when you order in the middle of hunting season. What I didn't particularly care for was having my credit card dinged immediately instead of when they shipped mine, but they use a 3rd party collection and it's not synched up with order fulfillment when folks do that, so just be aware. So, you'll have to await my review until turkey season. Nobody's going to cry over that, because Robert Carter, et al, have reviewed them to death on Youtube and do much better reviews than I will. They even recommended needed mods. I do bow hunt during gun season, but it will be out of my treestands which now stick out like sore thumbs also!

Brian, I got one of the taller seats from the original builder, along with the mesh bag to pack gear in for the moose hunt. You won’t have a problem sitting in it. I thought it would be too low to the ground, but practiced shooting from it with no problem, only you can’t turn much in it. I angle it away from the shooting lane. A lot of guys just slip out of it and shoot from their knees.

With two crushed vertebrae in the lower back, it is a godsend for me. After walking or hunting for an hour or two, I can pop it out, take a 15 minute breather, and then good to go for more hiking. It keeps me in the game and the seat is saggy enough and sloped back just enough to relieve the back pressure that other seats don’t seem to have.

The game bag carried all the gear to bone and sack out a moose, and would have allowed me to make that first trip out with a load and then take a better meat hauler for the rest of the trips.

Downside was the cost, which was higher than they are now, and I occasionally would smack the bow on the side of it while walking. When in camp, it is my camp chair or to sit on the lawn to watch July 4th fireworks. Good luck to you.

I’m 6’3” at 250 pounds and it hasn’t failed yet. I have the bag on tbe back to stash all I need for kill suit and all my gear-I have no pictures but have a back and seat cushion I use. My Son in law uses it for cross bow, and ghillie—It’s a dream set up tbe way he does it. Fills tags every year.

I have one I got over Christmas, I've only sat in it a few times to shoot. I like it so far. Anyone have pics of how they set up to carry a pack, etc? Need some ideas!

From: olddogrib

Damon, there are youtube vids covering every modification known to man. Robert Carter has some of the best.

I was always curious about these seats. I've had a Millenium chair for years which works great for me. Just recently I was able to try out the Waldrop chair and sitting in it confirmed my fear about the height for sitting. Because of having had both knees replaced the height didn't work for me to sit for long or to get out of easily in a hunting situation. I will say I'm impressed by the chair. Very well made and designed.

Dan I have one with the extension legs works nice. FYI

They have extension legs to make the seat higher. That would be great. I was on their site and didn’t see anything like that.

I did not read all the posts here. Take this for what it’s worth. If you can find an original pacseat that dave made- buy it. I wouldn’t have a post takeover chair if you dumped them on my front porch. The new owners are severely lacking moral fiber. Do a little research.

buckdancer just buy some pipe to slip over and run a screw/bolt through

cut length as desired

I'm short so happy with the original design besides I slide out on one knee to shoot mostly

Andy Man's embedded Photo

this is how mine is set up and couldn't improve on it if wanted to

quiver bungie balled to the side and a 3 rivers haversack zip tied to the back works perfect for me
