For the past 17 years the S.T.A.R. shoot, or Sherwood Traditional Archery Rendezvous has been held at Sherwood Archers in Roanoke, Va. We get a good turnout of archers from Va., Pa., W.Va., NC, etc. I know a lot of you guys have been to our shoot in the past. We strive to put on a good shoot for all of our shooters and make sure everyone has fun. We are also hosting a Professional Bowhunters Society Odd Year Gathering this same weekend this year, so it should make for a fun shoot with several raffles and door prizes available. It is scheduled for June 3 & 4, 2023 so you guys can put it on your calendars.

This is by far one of the best shoots you will ever attend, a great course and great people. I have been to a lot of traditional only shoots all over during the years and this is the best, mark your calendars for a fun filled weekend. Be sure and bring any bows you want to trade or sell as well as it is a great place for it.

Other than the first one haven't missed one since. Great people and courses. Good weekend fun and opportunity to meet like minded folks. Also one of my favorite trad shoots. Hope you find your way to this shoot.

For those of you that have asked, yes, the kitchen will be open both days and we will be serving breakfast in the mornings. This year breakfast will be all you can eat pancakes and sausages.

Just a little over a week away now and things are starting to come together out there. We are getting some nice donations for the bucket raffle for the P.B.S. Odd Year Gathering and will be having a couple seminars on Saturday afternoon.
