Bro, I hate to contradict you, but this is incorrect.
They are both made from SK78 grade hmpe, but the Rhino's fibers are spun up completely different, and is much stronger than Astroflight.

BCY's 625 Spectra is close to the same thing as Brownell's old FF+.
Close enough, that you won't be able to tell any difference.

D-97 is not the same, nor does it react in the same way as fF+, at least not for me. Pretty sure it's also a thinner strand but stronger.

BCY's 652 is the same formula as the original FF. BCY owners working for Brownell developed the formula and held the rights to the process but not the name. When they left, they formed BCY and started marketing the formula as 652 Spectra. Brownell tweaked the formula slightly and renamed it FF2. Only an engineer could tell the difference. BCY went on to become the largest bowstring material manufacturer in the world having more than 90% of the current market. There is a noticeable difference between the 652 and D97 and the newer higher grades of Dyneema.

I don't see any noticeable differences in Dyneema vs. Spectra.

Being very old school, I still use original Fast Flight but my supplies are running low. I thought I had bought a lifetime supply but it is getting close. How do 652 Spectra and newer Dyneema compare, in practical terms? - lbg

Jack, the string is the heart of the bow.
A good string can turn a crappy bow into a good shooter.
A crappy string can turn a good bow into a crappy shooter.
So, yes - the string does matter. :-)
