In MA shotgun opens today through 12/10 and primitive is 12/12- 31. Archery is allowed in both but have to wear orange. Plan to sit several days. No acorns to hunt over but additional hunters might move them around some. I have doe tags for two units.

VT late archery opens today through 12/15 will head up there at least once.

It’s still gun season here until end of November. I sometimes hunt during this time but didn’t this year.

I will bow hunt the month of December.

Been out when I can. Seen 3 bucks yesterday in the rain. Only one was legal, a half rack. He stayed out of my range chasing a doe.

I am still bowhunting for a doe. Gun season has been running for over 2 weeks, now and will end early December. I did gun hunt a crossing, as I have for many years. It came a cold snap, started one evening, and I shot both my bucks that evening. Used up my buck tags, but I was able to let my deer hang for a couple of days, which I seldom can here, due to temperatures. Or least I am uncomfortable doing for long, normally.

I could have limited out easily but having too much fun bowhunting to do that. Season stays open till in Feb here, but I don't know, it depends on the weather, and how I fell, as to my last day. I could still technically kill 3 does, but I don't want that much meat. One more and I am done for this year.

i will be until jan 31st when i can.

Long Island is till the end of January. I took a small buck but have another buck tag and basically unlimited doe tags. I have had a bad year so far in seeing deer so I'm hoping it will pick up.

From: elkpacker

Tag out besides snowing here and cold.I like thkose nice sept days during elk season

From: George D. Stout

Pa. is open through gun season, then there will be three weeks after Christmas. Small game is in till the end of February. Where I live it's not overrun, even during the week days of rifle season, so you can find a lot of places to hunt even on public land.

From: lamb
Date: 28-Nov-22

elk starts dec 17 th for me coues deer jan 15th

From: hawkeye in PA

Another thought: maybe if I was a better bowhunter I wouldn't need to still be out. Getting my money's worth of hunting I reckon.

From: Jed Gitchel

Open here till January 2. Still hunting.

From: two4hooking

Yes sir, whenever I can till the end of January (and a crazy primitive season thrown in there in Feb) and have the orange for the gun seasons.

Rifle season ended here last Tuesday. Then we had youth season again this past weekend. Next weekend starts 8 days of firearms antlerless season. Then we have alternative methods season the end of December for 11 more days. I'll be bowhunting through all of it up until season end at January 15.

Yes, not seeing much but still out there. As long as the snow doesn’t get too deep I like being in the woods.

From: soldier

No more bow season for me this year. Tore my Bicep 2 weeks ago. At least my Ruger #1 will get a little quality time in the woods.

Too many different seasons and way too many cool toys in the safe for me to bow hunt only. But I have alot of respect for you guys who choose to do it that way. They are all tools. But I don’t like to use a flat head screwdriver for every single job ;-)

I may or may not get out anymore after the Muzzle Loader season. The public land deer just do not move during daylight in WI. I took a buck with my bow earlier and if I can get another meat deer or a good buck with ML, I will, maybe be done. Ice fishing is starting to get going, a couple deer and fish to mount, wife to do things shorten my free time. But, sometimes my bows speak out to me and I take them for a walk.

From: Eric Sprick
Date: 05-Dec-22

Still trying for another. Last two sits I've seen 18 deer but no shot opportunity. Yesterday 12/4 I had couple bucks chasing some does actually.

From: crazyjjk

Yep. Rifle season now but bow Dec 12 - 20 and Dec 26 - Jan 1 in NY

From: HEXX

I have one tag left and it has to be a legal buck. The only ones I see are on my trail

cameras at night, even during the rut.

From: Krag

Shotgun season here in MA until Saturday and have to wear orange but archery is allowed. Going to try a WMA next couple days then heading to VT for some late archery which closes 12/15 with doe or buck legal. MA has primitive arms 12/12-31 archery allowed but again orange is required. I have two doe tags and a little hope left.

Till Feb 18 in my zone in NJ. Love that late season.

From: Kwikdraw

Down to hunting predators on our place. Still fun though! 'Yotes and bobs. Hard on the fawn crop, and old rutted down bucks!

From: Lastmohecken
Date: 06-Dec-22

Thank goodness, gun season is over, here. And I can leave the flame orange at home, and also hopefully have less interference of others in the woods. I will probably let the deer calm down for a few days then start bowhunting again.

From: MGF
Date: 06-Dec-22

Orange here till the end of the season Jan 1.

Might get a sit in the backyard tonight or tomorrow but I haven't seen a deer on an afternoon sit here yet this year.

I have commitments this weekend and Christmas weekend so that leaves me one more weekend to get in some kind of hunt.

I'm done w the general seasons. Looking for Cougar tracks now.

From: Dirtnap

I hope to get back out there this weekend. I've seen 2 bigger bucks that I'd like to think made it past the orange army. 1 for sure did the first gun season and round 2 was last weekend. I'll have to set a new stand to be in the right spot for him but should only take 1 more sit to have him right in front of me. Either one of those deer would be a new personal best. I already shot a meat deer 2 weeks ago but would really like to get a dandy buck. At least I only plan on shooting a big buck here on.

From: TGbow
Date: 06-Dec-22

Our seaon opened Oct 15th. I've been 2 times and both times it was 75 to 80 degrees. Just don't feel like hunting when it's that warm.

Normally, I would have been at least 10 times but I've been working a lot and with the weather I'm just not that motivated to go anyway. Season ends February 10th so Lord willing I plan to go more after 20th of this month.

Good luck out there and stay safe.

Rut is picking up in the spot I hunt this week! And... a buddy just invited me to Missouri for late season archery. Turkey season aint far after that!! ... then 3-D...

From: arlone Professional Bowhunters Society - Associate Member

Still have my tag, planning to get out over the week end as it warms up a bit. Don't like driving on nasty roads and looks like a couple days between a couple weather systems? Will have to put some orange on as it's muzzle loader season.
