I’ve fletched left helical for years.the latest batch of arrows I’m having a time getting the fronts to lay right.these are 9/32” bloodline shafts.well I reset the jig for left offset straight clamp, and the feathers are working like a champ now.sometimes less is better.

First one finished with left offset.perfect feather glue down.

I've never used anything but offset. The smaller diameter the shaft the less helical they will tolerate typically.

Finished these refurbished Easton bloodline with left offset instead of left helical.as fdp stated, the left offset worked best on small diameter shafts.

The problem with helical is people try to add more than what the clamp provides. Just set them up until the quill lays flat on the shaft and let the clamp do its job.
