Can this mark be a nock height issue? I shoot 3 under and my nock height is 5/8”. Bare shaft and fletched land level at 15-20 yards. At 10 yds the fletched lands level but the bare shaft lands nock high.

I would think that is more of a spine issue, rather than nock set.

Remember aim the arrow, not the bow. I would bet if you get the arrow right under your eye and get a vertical line from your arrow to the center of your POA your arrow will print left of that POA, if your a right hand shooter. (stiff spine)

Where is that mark in relation to the cock feather? I'm guessing Bob is right.

Is your target at shoulder level or below ?

Looks to me like it could also be a glance from another shaft...had any "near Robin Hoods" lately?

What Bob said. However, just one pluck can cause the shaft to hit the riser on the belly side to cause a scuff like that.

They bare shaft good, not stiff. I shoot cock feather in.

Target is chest high.

Spine would be my guess then. But like olddogrob inferred if it is a spine problem it should be on more than one arrow.

George sounds like you're dialed in spine-wise. It sure doesn't cost anything to move your nock height a bit. If too low the arrow could be bouncing off the shelf. I find 5/8" too low on most of the bows I've shot (except one I had made w a bit of negative tiller), but nock height will vary from shooter to shooter. Best of luck.

1/2"-5/8" for split, 3/4"-1" for 3 under.
