I put mine in before the tiller starts. I finish the back of all my bows before I start the tiller. Arvin

Pearl drums is a good guy to ask about this. The only one I’ve done I tillered all the way out to full draw 10lbs over target weight, bent my curves, tempered the belly and retillered. Some people do it after 20”. Lots of ways to skin a cat.

Like Arvin I put mine on before any tillering starts, sometimes I get a crack that ruins a limb, I would rather have this happen before I have a bunch of work in the bow.
