I recently received new #2's for my A mag. Good fun with good performance. Amo string length should have been 55" as with another set of #2 limbs I have. I ended up at 53-5/8 for 7.5 bh. Decent bow to shoot. I plan to set up a satori the same to compare.

Nice set up. I have 2 A risers, 1 wood and 1 mag plus an older B mag. Also have another wood A riser on the way. #3 limbs on the A riser is my preffered set up. And I have a set of #2 on a 70's B Mag that my Grandaughter claimed. Shoots really nice and smooth at 39#. Tried some #1 (40 and 45#) on my A riser and they shot fine but just didn't care for the feel of that 56" setup so I'm sticking with my #3's.

I have this set up to try gap. This set up is just above legal hunting weight in New Brunswick. Scales 45#@27". Shooting about 8" high at 30 yards point on. 34" 400 spine 125 tip arrow. On string walk with 500 spine 28" 125 tip 2" crawl. Both set ups a tic weak.

Sounds like mis-marked #1 limbs. Are these the same as the other #2's?

they are correct. #2 limbs on an A riser is a 58" amo with a 55" or close to it string. They came out with the #2 limb this year but very few are out in use yet.

Kelly, just understood what you meant. DUH.

I have several sets of #3's (red tip and new Anniversary)and they take different length strings by as much as 3/4" or more on the same riser to get the same brace height. I wouldn't think that would be the case but I guess they must vary in length some. I have one endless loop string and it will only work with one set of limbs. Its too short for my others and makes my brace height over 9". Since I make my own flemish strings now, I just make them to fit and label them for that bow.

These are new style #2 made in March of this year

It wouldn’t be the first time a company mis labeled something!

That’s a huge difference in string length for a 58” AMO recurve. Much closer to 56” than 58” by the string length.

I am not convinced there #1 limbs. The limbs I figure about a 1/2" short. A 54" string will brace it at 7" the beginning of the range.

A 54” string should brace a 58” bow well over 8”.

I think I have a custom 57" bow ha. My point is Bear has QC issues. Not worth the fuss returning from Canada.

Just ran into a problem kinda like yours awhile back.A new set of Anniversary no.3 limbs on a 70’s A-Mag riser the alignment holes were off on the limbs and made the bow around 61” instead of the correct 60” removed the alignment screws from the riser and that let the limbs slip all the way down in the latch pockets.still longer than 60” AMO but stilldub fixed me up on a string that fits to the correct brace height…………:)

I have one set of number three limbs that are a different length (longer ) from three other sets, no big deal but was a bit irritating after making several strings for the others to find none fit and having to make a separate set for those limbs.
