It’s only January and I’ve already got turkey on the brain!

Does anyone have experience using a string tracker shooting through the mesh of a pop up blind? I can’t imagine it would make much of a difference. I figured I would ask the question here before poking any holes through the mesh of my new blind.

I’m starting to make a checklist now of things I want to accomplish to get ready for the season.

1) learn to use my mouth call 2) practice out of the blind 3) talk to landowners of new potential properties. 4) I’m sure there’s more….

Thanks

It won't make any difference, done it a couple of times when the bird came to the wrong window.

Take the netting out before you hunt. The concept of shoot through netting doesn't even make sense to me.

Really?

Have you tried it George? It works just fine.

Maybe you could make a mechanical launcher on a string and then you could sit behind a glass window.

I shot a black bear through netting once using a string because the landowner insisted that I use a tracker. The string did not snag on the netting as it was pulling out of the tracker.

String trackers? I thought that's what blood trails were for? Lol!

Turkeys don't usually leave much of a blood trail. I've been lucky my three have all stopped within sight.

Shoot through netting works just fine, especially with 3 blades, that's why it's call shoot through.

100% with George!

I always use a string tracker for turkey and bear. I use hidden hunter blinds and have never had any problems shooting through the mesh in the blind, string starts to effect arrow flight after around 25 yards depending on your bow poundage. Keep your shots close and you'll have no problems
