There is nothing like a Javaman bow. To me it is the emptily of what a bow should be, pure perfection.

I’ve had a lot of different bows over the years, but never had a short hydrid longbow. Got the itch to try one and found one used. An Elkheart 56” and 54 pounds at 28”. Happened to be a take down although I wasn’t specifically looking for one. Two days after getting it I took a nice doe with it and the more I shoot it the more I am impressed with how well it shoots. Probably the easiest short bow I have shot and excellent for hunting.

When I was really buying bows, I had a Kanati, Elkheart and Centaur at the same time...It really comes down to personal preference, for me the Kanati is my favorite... and half the price. That is one sweet Elkheart..!!

I got one of these ordered and really can't wait. I can't decide if I want 56' or 58", but I have time to figure it out. More pictures would be good tho.

I think you need to give credit to Gregg about what bow length can be good for you

The Javaman Elkheart "TD" is a great bow. It's one of my favorites. Mine is 54" 50@ 27" Black palm and Black & white ebony on the limbs. With Buffalo horn on the tips and overlay. You got one of the best Flinginem. And let's not forget Gregg used to build the Shrew bows as well. So he knows how to build a short stable bow.
