Can you guys tell me the approximate production years for the two Bear heads and possibly what the black one is? Thanks

There are guys on here with more accurate production year info for the Greenies but I believe the charcoal grey Super Razorheads that replaced them came out in 1978. These had a chisel tip vs pointed on the Greenies (that could curl on hard bone hits) and some think the Supers were made of inferior metal that caused them to not be as successful. But I think it was more compounds and replaceable blade heads becoming more popular at that time . I have a few of the Super heads.

Have seen dark blue but not black...

There were two other versions that came out after the grey Supers were discontinued that were screw in only with aluminum ferrules. Blue ferrules were 145gr and Green were 120gr .

I don't know why I can't attach a photo. The black ones are not bears. I'll keep trying to add a picture.

Bear heads with chisel point: My dad was at the meeting at Bear Archery when Fred brought in an orthopedic surgeon for the purpose of discussing bone damage. The Dr state that a dull or round instrument would do more damage to a bone than a sharp pointed instrument. It was after that meeting that Bear put a chisel point on their arrowheads.

Norwood1 sorry for not seeing your thread but I have been slacking on getting on the leatherwall the last week because of having my house and shed roofs re-shingled. I PMed you with the answer to your question.

The Bear Super Razorheads were a dark charcoal gray and were produced from 1978 to 1980.
