The guy who won the Trophy Division for longbow at Lancaster this year did it with a Chinese longbow marketed by Galaxy. He is shooting at a shop in a NFAA Mid Atlantic tournament. Got to say he is deadly accurate. Goes to show you you don't need expensive equipment to be competitive.

It is the shooter not the bow!

Didn't find anything for the longbow division on Lancaster YouTube coverage of the event. Would be nice to watch if available.

Next year they will have a shoot down for a money prize. This was first year for a longbow division by them selves and it said they were happy with the turn out, about a hundred. I think this year took high scores from the 60 arrow qualifying round and gave trophies.

The bow is just for looks

I’ll bet that guy knows a thing or two about tuning an arrow….

Good for him. Do you know what model Galaxy longbow he was using?

It was a traditional looking model. I am thinking either the Sage or Black Ridge.

Thanks crazy...

I for one am glad to see the notion dispelled that these bows are nothing but "entry level" offerings. In the right hands, they are as capable as anything else out there.

Exactly Crazyjjk it’s the person doing the shooting

Now the Chinese bows will cost more.

What's the rules for "Trophy Division for longbow", sights, stabalizers, releases, etc., I take it is different than 'Barebow"?

Bone, rules are the same as World Archery longbow division

I think the Longbow shoot will become the most popular.
