Can you describe the target set up and how the rounds are actually shot?

Hello Krag, thank you for the question. Coyote Creek has between 12-15 good targets for us to use for the shoot. (ram, bison, wolf, bedded deer, boar, standing x 2, antelope, coyote, ewe, standing black bear, cheetah and 2 small imps, maybe another 1-2). Part Owner Josh down there is going to be replacing some to most of the cores for our shoot. We plan to use the best we can and if you’d like to run through them to score for bragging rights on our club site, we’ll have 30 Target scorecards. Depending on how many targets we use, it’ll either be 3 rounds of 10 targets, or 2 rounds of 15 targets. But after you’ve scored, you can continue to keep shooting. We have 18 lanes to use and will be rotating after each shot. People can shoot in groups or alone. Very similar to a regular 3D shoot. Depending on attendance, either retrieve your arrows after each shot as a group or maybe if attendance is low, shoot multiple targets then retrieve. This is our first year doing this so is sort of an experiment. It’s a fun shoot to enjoy the shooting in the warm indoors, to meet new people or meet up with old friends. We’ll have some info/dates-flyers about other All Traditional shoots in New England available for planning out your season. 2-3 hrs of as much shooting as we can cram in! Hope this helps, JBat

Thanks Jeff. As this picture from their FB shows it's a beautiful range with a forest scene all along the backstop. Seriously thinking of making the drive. With over $7 toll R/T from the south (tax free NH!!!) will have to get a bit creative on the route but looks interesting.

Went to this shoot today. First indoor 3D shoot for this group and first one for me. I met Jeff and connected with a couple others from last February's cabin fever shoot. There were 24 in all coming from NH, ME, VT and MA
19 targets were set out to 20yds in 5 groups with 5 shooting positions. One shot at each and then move to the right for the next group. Usually 2 or 3 at each position. It worked well. The shoot was for two hours with most dropping out after a couple or three rounds but you could keep shooting until the end. I got in four rounds - 76 shots.

Pulling arrows and a closer look at the set up.
It was a good time and well worth the drive. I'm looking forward to doing it again next year.

Thank you for coming Krag! And thank for the pics and review. Glad you had fun. It was great to meet and talk with you and some other new archers. For a first time indoor shoot, it turned out really well. Everyone wants us to do it again. We hope to hold another next year around the same time. Hope to see you soon at our February Cabin Fever shoot in Mass, a little closer to home for ya! Take care, shoot straight! JBatt
