I watched a YouTube video of Neil Byce introducing the new G62 . 62” one piece recurve, I-beam riser with a black fiberglass overlay, maple limbs under clear glass and a fast flite string. I really like it.

I just watched the video. It looks nice.

Were is that video found

Hope he brings one to the show. Sounds like a great shooter

Rather buy a 59ner if I was buying. Reminds me of a tigercat.

From: CStyles
Date: 10-Jan-25

That's cool. Like a 62" 59 Kodiak https://youtu.be/vzF4VutLl3w?si=IZTDz1BDBwR1O6C8

From: Ragnall

I like the looks of it. To me it looks like they were going for a new version of an old 62" Grizzly. The 1962 Grizzly even used I beam construction like this new bow. I hope they, or a vendor, have one to try at one of the shoots I go to this year.

From: RonP

i like it too. would like to shoot one.

I’m certainly no Bear expert but I agree it looks like a Grizzly. Very curious as to price.

Bear Grizzly 1959 resurrected. Great move

Maybe the G stands for Grizzly? Couldn't find price anywhere.

From: shandorweiss
Date: 10-Jan-25

Looks pretty nice. Thanks for the heads up.

From: Longtoke
Date: 10-Jan-25

I wish they had made it a little nicer looking. Maybe a maple I beam to tie into the limbs and give the riser a bit of contrast. The black glass overlays aren’t very appealing to me either. Gives it a cheap look, like they put it together with scraps Imo.

From: Mike E
Date: 10-Jan-25

Hope it shoots better than it looks, rather clumsy appearance.

From: sheepdogreno
Date: 10-Jan-25

Holy cow! How cool is that! Hope they have one at Kalamazoo

From: Papadeerhtr
Date: 10-Jan-25

I think that's a good looking bow! Happy they are making a one piece longer than 69 in finally. I would like to shoot one.

From: Cedarfoot
Date: 11-Jan-25

I'm glad they are coming out with new bows! Too bad it's got a face only a mother could love. LOL

From: Chairman
Date: 11-Jan-25

It has a nice profile , that particular jatoba in that bow is pretty pale it can be a knockout. Carmel or black glass limbs would be nice.

From: TGbow
Date: 11-Jan-25

I think it's a good looking bow. I'm more concerned about how a bow shoots than cosmetics.

From: Bellaodin
Date: 11-Jan-25

I was never a big Bear fan, but that G62 looks interesting. I'd like to get a price

From: Ricky The Cabel Guy
Date: 11-Jan-25

I'm with Mike E...looks rather chunky and unrefined.

From: Longtoke
Date: 11-Jan-25

Carmel glass and white overlays would make it a real stunner.

From: Fritz
Date: 11-Jan-25

Nice looking bow. Hopefully Bear archery has one at Kalamazoo !!

From: goldentrout_one
Date: 11-Jan-25

Looks nice, but after my last super kodiak that I had in the mail the next day to return for a refund, I would not consider buying one unless I could hold it in my hand first -

Looks clean to me, I want one.

The bow is a sweet shooter! I enjoyed every arrow I sent out of it at the ATA Show. Retail is $599. Worth every penny.

From: walltent2
Date: 12-Jan-25

Frank, is that a pic of the bow ?

From: Bellaodin
Date: 12-Jan-25

Yes it is. There is also a video

From: TradToTheBone
Date: 13-Jan-25

I’m curious as to when they will be available to purchase.

From: Bellaodin
Date: 13-Jan-25

Me too.

From: fdp
Date: 13-Jan-25

Get hold of Big Jim he would likely be able to tell you. He is a major Bear dealer.

From: M60gunner
Date: 13-Jan-25

Also saw they have a 64” SK agian.

From: Mike E
Date: 13-Jan-25

Now the one that Frank posted is a nice looking bow, the video did not it justice. What do ya think,, under $675?

From: Mike E
Date: 13-Jan-25

The leather that Fred put on the grips was really a finishing touch.

From: TGbow
Date: 13-Jan-25

I heard $600...but that's just hear say

From: BigStriper1
Date: 13-Jan-25

Jeff (01Archer86) runs an Archery shop and he has actually shot one, if he said $599 retail I would have to believe him. He also said it was a nice shooting bow.

From: Jul
Date: 14-Jan-25

There longbow is nice also.. black rise and bamboo limbs under clear glass

From: Mike E
Date: 14-Jan-25

My bad,,didn't see the $599. I hope they do well.

From: BEARMAN Compton's Traditional Bowhunters
Date: 14-Jan-25

Wish they would’ve had the original grip like the 59s. Nice looking bow, can’t wait to shoot one.

That black blotch of whatever on the riser sure does look out of place.

From: grizzley21 Professional Bowhunters Society - Associate Member
Date: 17-Jan-25

that riser doesn't look good at all.........

From: bugsy 49
Date: 17-Jan-25

The vintage models look much richer to me for some reason, but that doesn't mean they shoot any better.

From: Chairman
Date: 17-Jan-25

Black blotch? You mean the fiberglass overlay like on bear bows for the last 60 years. I don't know why Bear makes stick bows at all everything gets picked apart.

From: M S -- Wapiti Compton's Traditional Bowhunters
Date: 18-Jan-25

Nice hope they do well.

From: Mike E
Date: 18-Jan-25

yep that one,, it doesn't look good, well to me anyway, it wasn't on the original '59 or '62, I want Bear to succeed as much as anybody and I hope they sell 50,000 of them. They try too hard it seems. Just call it what it is, the folks that know will buy them, just like the re-introduction of the '59, the one's that don't can have a taste of history. Why try and change the legacy. The overlay wasn't on all the models and the ones that had it was more subtle and it matched the color of the glass.

From: Bushytail Compton's Traditional Bowhunters
Date: 18-Jan-25

I got an email from Bear about the new G62 at $599.99. Looks like a nice bow. I too would like to shoot one.

From: walltent2
Date: 18-Jan-25

I'm no Bear expert but I can't recall any Bear bows with a Black riser overlay like this one. Does not match

From: snowman
Date: 18-Jan-25

Like many other bows I would like to try shooting one. I don't see anything special in that bow's appearance, kind of plain jane looking to me. I would have to be really impressed with it to pay $600. I do realize Bear produces a lot of bows, but I also wonder what the failure rate is for Bear bows that were built in the last 10 years.

From: TGbow
Date: 18-Jan-25

I like the looks of the G62. As far as the black overlay, I could care less. As long as it pulls smooth n the grip fits.

From: TradToTheBone
Date: 18-Jan-25

I don’t like the look of the black riser overlay and tips. To my eye brown would be more appealing.

From: TradToTheBone
Date: 18-Jan-25

If anyone is interested, 3 Rivers has the new G62 for sale.

From: Karl S
Date: 19-Jan-25

It will be a fine bow not for everybody but the guys that have one won’t part with it .
