I'll start off...2021 about 6500 arrows. 2022 about 11,000 arrows.2023 more than 17,000 arrows shot.2024 around 23,000 arrows shot

I realy dont keep a count. I know when I shoot in the yard it's 10 to 30 arrows. A Field Tournament is 112 arrow. Target is 90 arrows. 3Ds are 30 or 40. I "try" to make at least 2 of each each year & if a NFAA Field Nationals its like 500 for the 3 days & Target is like 200 for the 2 days. I'm guessing over 1000 easy IN competition. Hunting, MAYBE ONE.

43,991 last year if my tally is correct. I was going to settle for 43,990 but it just wasn't quite enough.

A conservative number for me, probably 21,000 arrows, last year. Actually, I am sure it was more than that. I have since reduce my shooting to about 50 arrows a day, but that's still 17,500 a year. And I shoot every day. I still don't shoot that good, but I don't miss nearly as badly from the mark as I used to.

As long as I don’t loose any the same six. Lol

I could tell you how many I shot yesterday, but beyond that I have no idea. Usually during hunting season I shoot the 2 blunts I always carry , before I climb down from my stand. I may shoot a couple more times on my walk to the truck but that’s usually it.

I shoot about 2 dozen a year, but I do shoot them over and over till I either lose or damage them

I’d guess I’m usually around 7.5-10k/year. I’d definitely be higher if I could shoot in the back yard as I used to… I was probably shooting 100/day, daylight permitting, but even just 5 months out of the year that adds up quick!

I can tell you for sure that I have shot enough arrows that I have developed some scoliosis from all of that unbalanced resistance training, so that’s probably a sign of Too Much Of A Good Thing….

I would estimate between 7,000 and 10,000 shots on the conservative side. As a footnote, I lost and broke zero target, stumping, and small game hunting arrows this year, which is incredible. But the golden retriever and Irish water spaniel had to help me re-acquire about 12 of them. But I lost half-dozen or more broadheads antelope hunting, with the occasional shot at rabbits. All my arrows were Doug fir.

Maybe I need to take more of those iffy shots and lose more arrows. Then I’d feel like I had accomplished something!

A lot

When I am really into it probably about 10k. There is usually a 4 month period of daily 300 rounds. After that it gets more random.

When I’m not into it about 2000, then a panic hard hit of a couple thousand just before deer season.

Not enough

“ Maybe I need to take more of those iffy shots and lose more arrows. ”

YES, you DO!!! LOL

If nothing else, taking a shot which puts your arrow in serious jeopardy is great training for shooting under pressure. The other good thing about longer shots is that when you have a breakdown in your form, you can’t miss it (or dismiss it).

The last couple times out, I actually came off the course with no losses or casualties, and I honestly can’t recall the last time that happened! Not saying that it’s not a good feeling.

Quite a few more than I thought before you asked the question:)

I'm going to say 20-25k. Usually shoot about 12 to 15 every round for 4 to 5 hours Saturdays, Sundays and holidays plus whatever hours I can get in once or twice a week for a few hours on the weekdays.

No idea. I do shoot less during hunting season because I’m out hunting.

From: sawtooth Compton's Traditional Bowhunters

Maybe 25 rounds of 5 arrows each round.

When I was younger, I shot every day, including a couple of shoots many weekends -- in the neighborhood of 12-15,000 per year. Now, I shoot in my basement 3-4 times a week. Still try to make a lot of weekend shoots -- closer to 5-7,000 per year.

From: Buzz

Rough calculation 4000.

From: Greenstyk

Bushytail X2.

From: Live2Hunt

Could not even come close to figuring that. If know one is around I would be in the home range shooting for hours. The wife goes nuts on how much I shoot.

From: Ricky The Cabel Guy

Usually the same six...unless I break or lose any.

Better question. How many GOOD arrows do you shoot per year. You can shoot 40k arrows a year on not get any better :)

From: eddie c

Grizz's answer for me. Never really had a reason to count.

From: murphy Compton's Traditional Bowhunters

5000 to 7500

From: Bob Rowlands
Date: 08-Jan-25

From as many as a few dozen a day to as few as a dozen a week jsut to stay loose.

From: Juancho
Date: 08-Jan-25

anywhere between 20 to 100 a day. Hard to put a number, but I know that one of my bows has accumulated conservatively, over 300000 shots over the years. The same cannot be said about any one particular arrow.

From: buckeye
Date: 09-Jan-25

Such things are unknowable! I have no idea but it needs to be more.

From: Stix
Date: 09-Jan-25

Rough estimate 4500.

~90/week. More in warm weather, less in cold weather.

From: Rocky

I would say 20 to 25,000 a year.

When I retired; I shot at least 100 to 150 arrows per day. As the years have rolled by, I am at about 15 per day. So, now about 5,000 to 6,000 per year.

From: bergie
Date: 11-Jan-25

25 to 30 thousand a year

Who in the hell counts how many arrows you shoot in a year. Bored people?

From: snowman
Date: 12-Jan-25

I have no idea how many, I shoot at least a few arrows most days year-round. I inherited a right hand 34# 64 in. Darton Classic target recurve that I now shoot frequently along with my small collection of left-handed bows. I live semi-rural and have a large partly wooded yard. I also can shoot up to 13 yards in my basement which is where I shoot mostly in winter, its close range but better than not shooting at all. I enjoy shooting trad. bows more than I ever did or do compounds. Sometimes I wonder If I am damaging- wearing out my shoulders from excessive shooting.
