Anyone know what this book is about? Still available? Thanks

Are you referring to the Compton Traditional Bowhunting Archives?

I have the newly published 2nd edition, don't know if the first edition is still available.

Fascinating book of records on North American big game taken with traditional bows. Comptons has it's own scoring system that awards more points to a more traditional or primitive style of bowhunting. For example, in addition to the animal score which is standardized, more points will be given to a solo hunt than a guided hunt, a self bow will accrue more points than a longbow, which will net more than a recurve. Wood arrows are awarded more than aluminum or carbon, etc.

I think that’s the one. I know Compton spit it out.

So it’s just a record book? No hunting stories?

No, it's full of great hunting stories and photos. At least two stories for each species. The stories comprise more of the book than the records do. But the way the records are laid out with all the details of the hunting tackle and methods used is really fascinating.
