Mr. William (Bill) Jaglowski age 64, of Howard City, Michigan, entered eternal life on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. He was preceded in death by his dear parents, Margaret (Jeleniewski), and Eugene ("Jug") Jaglowski, of Grand Rapids West Catholic; and several cousins.
Surviving are: His wife of 44 years- Denise (Kellogg), Daughters- Karen Shephard, Claire (Matt) Burnett, Son- Douglas; Grandchildren- Megan, Mia, & Caleb Shephard; James, Amira, & Zoey Burnett; Brother Chuck, Sister Kathy (Tom) Carr, many cousins, several Aunts.
He grew up on Halena Street, Grand Rapids, attending Blessed Sacrament Church & School. It was a special street with about 30 kids, and every mom was watching! He and Denise also had lived in Okemos, East Lansing, DeWitt, & Comstock Park, Michigan, with his sweet children. Bill was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church Holy Name Society; Retired from 30 years at Trugreen/Chemlawn; BS Degree in Forestry, Fisheries & Wildlife Management, MSU class of 1982; Associates Degree Grand Rapids Junior College 1980; Grand Rapids West Catholic High School Class of 1978. He played 'third string' football at West, winning many State Championships. Almost every month for 46 years, he played poker with his loyal 'West" buddies- Ed Rogalski, Don Steffens, & Chuck Thome.
His hobbies were Archery, folk music, poetry, chatting sports & current events with Chuck, studying Church history, caring for several fish tanks, rabbits, & Golden Retriever "Morley", and spending most of his day outside in the woods surrounding his home.
The family will receive guests 4 to 6 PM, Sunday, October 13, 2024, Arsulowicz Brothers Mortuary, East Chapel, 937 Michigan Street NE, Grand Rapids MI 49503, with the Holy Rosary at 5:30 PM. The Traditional Latin Exequies Mass of Christian Burial will be prayed for the repose of his soul, 9:30 AM, Monday, October 14, 2024, St Margaret Mary Catholic Church,
