I was just thankful to grow up around Rev Stacy, Fred Bear, and all those positive role models that always helped and made time for me. My parents and family were always supportive.

It’s been a fun 40 years (will be 40 in 2025)

Hope to go another 40! Stacy shot on stage w me when he was 82 and hit the baby aspirin the 7th shot !

Resized photo and reported for Frank;

"oon to be 40 years of “Frank Addington’s Amazing Archery: the Aspirinbuster”. Did you know I was a protege’ of the late Rev Stacy Groscup?!? My father put a bow in my hand in 1971. I was four. Fast forward to 1985. I was 18. Stacy tossed a Pepsi can into mid air and challenged me to hit it. I did and that day he put me in front of an audience. Fred Bear. Earl and Ann Hoyt. Sherwood Schoch. Jim Easton. Jim Wynne. Ted Nugent. Plus more. Lifelong friends and they all contributed to my show biz “bow and arrow razzle dazzle.” Coast to coast. Big shows. Small shows. Shows for celebrities, special olympians, NFL superstars, etc etc. and I did shows on behalf of the President in 2004. And the Trump campaign used me for a surrogate speaker role in 2020- I gave a speech with Don Jr. plus others. It’s fun to take archery into places where it hasn’t been. (Backstage for Toby Keith at one of his shows, etc. )

Both our sons have performed with me and someday I hope to have a grandchild on stage with me.

Although I have cut the appearances down to ten or less appearances a year - at one time I did 30 weekends a year coast to coast. I won’t ever quit but I don’t do the road warrior role anymore. My ranch real estate keeps me in Texas more now. But I am still able to hit what I shoot at - in June I performed for the family at King ranch - something I’ve done for three decades now. And I love performing at the Texas Hunter and Sportsman’s Expo.

My eyes remain 20/8. It’s His Talent Through My Hands. Mathew 17:20. And yes I can still hit the mustard seeds too.

Thank all of you that have played a role in this gig. Once a showman always a showman. Hand me a mic, get an audience and let’s roll. I love it as much as ever. God, my family, friends and role models get the credit. I just draw the bow and look at what I want to hit. Come see a show if you haven’t seen it. I’ve been lucky and I know it.

I have the two greatest gigs a man can have. Archery and bouncing around on Texas ranches. As Theo would say, “Yowza”. Visit www.frankaddingtonjr.com for more info."

No, not even close to the GOAT. Rev Stacy was the master. Better than any of the exhibition shooters past or present. Seven aspirin in a row on live TV is a feat few will ever realize how difficult that is. Stacy did it. He was the most consistent I ever saw. Hill, Bear and the guys doing it now were good but Stacy was the master.

He was a humble Methodist preacher so he didn’t have big money being spent to promote him or a company to back him. He did it on his own.

I’ve been very spoiled by Hoyt. Anytime I’ve needed bows, arrows etc Hoyt and Easton take care of it. A bow for a celebrity? They ship it to me. It’s been a great living but I don’t ever think I’m the GOAT. My father, Stacy and others are the GOATS. I’m just lucky that I grew up when I did around the men and women I had as mentors. It made a huge impact on me.

Forty years is a long run. I’ve enjoyed every mile and can remember almost every single venue and many of the faces.
