There was a thread about Skipper Stopper small game heads manufactured by Martin Archery. That led into a DIY head suggested by 'R' at Stand Sure Outdoors, photo attached. His head called for 8-32 screws and nuts, 10-32 T-nuts, and 1/4" faucet washers. Seeing that the 10-32 T-nuts would not thread onto the 8-32 screw, I used 8-32 T-nuts. I traded the two neoprene washers for a #8 washer and lock washer. The screw, nut, and T-nut cost me 57 cents per head. I had the washers and lock washers in stock.

Here are my heads, they weighed 115 grains. I shot them with a 40# ILF recurve bow on 1916 aluminum arrows. I used a 3 1/2" square by 10" long half gallon milk jug for a squirrel.

They flew consistently, I was able to put them into the squirrel at 20 yards. Well, I had to shoot two ends to get all four in the critter. They whistled a bit enroute. I also shot them along the ground in the woods. The did not go far and were easy to retrieve. I did not have the courage to shoot them at trees, even glancing shots.

There has been an assortment of small game heads posted here in the last few years. Most of them with pictures demonstrating their effectiveness. Good Shooting.

As I mentioned in the OP, this head was suggested by 'R' at Stand Sure Outdoors. All of the credit goes to him, even if he never sees this post. :)

I use a broadhead. Plenty I will never use for deer.
