fun to go back and look thru these, i've got some that go back to the early days of bowhunting in iowa. the iowa bowhunters assoc. has done a lot for bowhunting in iowa.

When did Iowa adopt its first bow season? I was a kid in the 50s and you didn’t see many deer. In early 60s we began to see the more often.

not sure when it was mike. i presume it was early 1950s. i started bowhunting in 1965 but i know some in our area that bowhunted before i ever did. my first iowa bowhunter annual was 1967. it has come a long way since then!
