Spent a few hours over at Shade Mountain this afternoon weed wacking the "Creek Course".

Very hard to believe it is just a month and a day out.....but so it is.

If you have never been to a Traditional 3-D shoot, or have not been to one for a while, you should come check this one out. It truly is worthy of a visit!

Snyder County PA and all the rest of the info is on the flyer. Hope you can come join us.

My wife and I have always enjoyed this great shoot. This year it will be a one day trip for me again. . . Marc

From: Krag

Marc, It was nice meeting you at Marsh Hill, seeing some of your bows, and you taking the time to check out my Mahantango Raven and hearing your praise of Jim Martin. Hope to bump into you at Shade Mt and say hi.

Should probably be there for one day, depending on my daugther's fall sports schedule. As long as she doesn't have a game, I should be there.

We also have a shoot this weekend, anything goes, but if you brave the weather and come Saturday (early....it goes quick) there is going to be a chicken BBQ for lunch.

The club is looking forward to putting up another good time for you guys and gals come Sept. Rumor has it that it may be a few degrees cooler.........but that's just a rumor ;) Maybe this will help!

Your a fixture at Shade buddy, and a good one!

I left Lori read your post and she started laughing and said "We'll have to shoot with Darren, it's been a while." I told her only if you guys behave yourselves!

It will be here soon folks so put it on your calendar weekend after Labor Day. Bring your bow, bring a buddy, and come with an appetite. We 'll do our best to show you a great time!

Raining buckets this morning, with all kinds of flash flood warnings north of here.

Tomorrow...Saturday, is suppose to break dry and clear and SUN!

Regular shoot with a chicken BBQ to boot! And if you go bring your boots, it will be soggy in places!

I hope they didn't sit the Croc to close to the creek.....

And totally agree with Paul our kitchen crew/BBQ pit crew could have there own television show!

ATTENTION: Just talked to Kraig at Shade and he informed there will be at least 20 or so 3-D targets set up for sale. These will be inside the clubhouse in the shooting range room.

Also, we have overflow parking in the field just behind the target building....you must drive down to the target building and cross over into the field.

FOR SALE stuff is always welcome at Shade as are vendors. As of now, not sure of vendors, but there is always wheeling and dealing behind various vehicles that attend. Bring it and try to sell it if you want.

Going to be busy days from here on out over at Shade, it's going to be a great time!

Gary, you coming up this Saturday? Paul and Mike and I are going to be laying out the creek course and walking the lower course to see what things look like, and Andy has a to do list....he talked about maybe you cleaning the outhouse?

Anyhow, hope to see a bunch of you there!

It's always a dice roll this time of year Andy, always seems to fall in during the tropical storm belt. I do believe they came early this year though.

Anyhow, rain, snow, wet or dry, we still have the shoot. If it's wet you just dress accordingly. I put a request/wish in for beautiful weather next weekend....we'll see.

You ought to load that blonde fuzzball of fur up along with your shooting gear and join us....I guarantee you'll have a smile on your face all the way back home!

Thanks for the bump and Good Shooting->->->->Craig

One last ride to the top before the shoot. Weather is looking great for Fri. Sun. - Sat. may be damp in the a.m.

Chicken BBQ will be Sat. and great food thru the whole shoot.

Some music Sat. night and usually a campfire to sit around.

A clubhouse full of targets and archery stuff for sale and some nice target setups out on the courses.

Also the Ironman course, which looked pretty challenging when Mike and I walked by it.....bring your toughest arrow!

Safe travels to all!

Ed and I just returned from Shade. Right off the bat we run into Tim and John, both of whom were awake. Great weather. We took the longbows for the course on this side of the creek; Mahantango Kestrel and the SanMarco. We had a good shoot and one of us saved the girl, hello. Had a water, then shot across the creek, I took the Bear TD this time. Wasn't crowded a when we arrived and had pretty much clear sailing. Cheeseburger and fries; got to bs with Phil for a good while. He's good people. Once again A good shoot put on by the people at Shade. Should return tomorrow morning for a bit, then over to the Ford FE reunion drag race at Beaver Springs with the grandsons. Sunday I will attend the last Blue Ridge shoot for the season. One helluva weekend. Next Saturday Marg and I will be at the Forksville Bowfestival.

I had some last minute family issues come up and couldn't commit the weekend so had to back out. I'll sure miss the good time I've had at previous Shade Mt shoots. Hope to do it again in April. Just got back from Shade, met Kraig over there and took down the creek course.

Andy and Gary were still there and Andy said we ended up at a bit over 150 shooters for the three days.....thanks to all who made that number happen!

A special note of thanks to Andrew and Tom Moore for taking the time to make and set up the "Save the girl" shot. It was talked about very much during the weekend.

Also to Andy, Jake, Bud, Kraig and the gals in the kitchen and the fellows on the BBQ spit and last but definitely not least Gary.

These folks all hammered hard to make it happen and that it did.

Thanks again to all who came, we love showing you a good time!

Good hunting season to all, be safe and make some memories.

Had a great time on Friday. Course was set up beautifully and the weather couldn't have been nicer. Had a chance to talk with some old friends and shoot with new ones. one thing that is not usually mentioned is the food. I did not stay for the spaghetti dinner but I did have lunch there.
