These guys don't fool around, usually 3 courses with 15 nice setups on each course keeps things rolling.

Next weekend and about a 1/2 hr NE of Cabelas. Great shoot!

I've got permission from the "boss" to attend this shoot. On the fence but if Monkeyball brings his super duper dessert it's a done deal and I can be there around noon Friday and all day Saturday.

I imagine we could do some kitchen time prior to the shoot!

Wapiti, not sure or don’t remember if any camping fee? I will find out and report back.

The shoot fee for non-PLA member is 1 day $15/ 2 day $25/ 3 day is $35. For PLA members is $15/25/30. That is for adults. 13-17 yrs is $5 per day and 12 and under is free.

Monkeyball -I thought you were now only shooting an ASL with some new secret spined wood arrows?

That's all I have shot since mid May, or my self bow, which is even a bit more than the Hill.

That is a past photo Andy.....Browning Wasp with the same secret sauce spined arrows that were not flying the best off the Hill, but really flew off of the Wasp.

These PA guys have a knack for putting on goodtime shoots.

Hit my club course early this evening practicing for the West Penn shoot and bumped into this young buck drinking out of the trout pond.

looks like weather up there is gonna be a lot better than here- just wish it wasn't a 5 1/2 hour drive at best for me---sure would like a get away and try my new Sunset Hill out on your targets

We will shoot some up for you James. These guys also run a competition for the weekend if you have that desire.

There are some really good shooters that will be there this weekend.

Whether you are shooting for fun or competing.....it's a good time!

First time at West Penn was a great experience and well worth the trip. The three courses of 15 targets were laid out in some nice, quiet, mixed woods - not flat but easy walking as noted above. It was a very relaxing, go at your pace shoot spread out with mostly only your group in sight and hearing distance at each target.

Finally met Sue (Hunter Sioux)...congratulations for medalling in the championship shootoff.

Saturday was a beautiful day.

Shot with a great bunch of guys from the Hemlock Field Archers.

At this point we were having so much fun we had to let our bows cool down!

Back to shooting.

Thanks to the PLA and New Penn for the time and effort put into the event and to the many fine folks you get to meet at these PA shoots.

Should be West Penn - New Ringgold - a very nice area btw.

5.5 hr drive one way is admirable. I think the PLA should give you a discounted membership for being such a strong supporter :)
