May show up for Saturday if my brother wants to shoot if not I will stay home. Don't care for the new way they do the food. They give you a plate of stuff you may not care for. I like the old way of doing it.

A can't miss for me, after a long summer it is great to just get away for a week to just shoot and hang out with my buddies, if I was going for the meal I might not like it as much either but since that's the least of the reasons I go it don't bother me a bit. I try to avoid the low rent district, nothing but trouble in that neighborhood. They play music and sing half the night when a guy just wants to drink beer and relax.

Kurt, I was only there for a day last year. Hoping to bring a tent and bag this year so I can stay the night(s).

We will have the fire going Dale, talked to Bob yesterday and said he would be there Friday for a couple of day, he didn't make it last year due to illness be good to see the old rascal again, he is the one that got me coming 20+ years ago and has became a very close friend. Pappy

Heck yeah! We'll be there Thursday morning. Black cargo trailer as you drive in. Each shoot we attend has its own flavor. Some its the vendors, some the food, some the setting, some competition, always friends but the Pine River Stickbow shoot is for me the actual shooting. Most like real hunting w/ their course set up. Never the same. Always different. HA! Pappy will have paths worn in the earth by the time I get there......but still....lol. Always a great shoot. Starts the month of August here in Michigan. The GLLI is the next w/e, then Tomahawk Archers Elk and Muley and then Lapeer. Every w/e in August. Here we goooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!

Just a little over 3 weeks before my brother and I head to ELM HALL to see all our good Mighigan friends and others. Really love this shoot because there is no set times to do anything, just lay back,visit around the fire with friends,relax and shoot when you feel like it. Well I have 3 local shoots to keep me busy till then, but can't wait, hoping the 35th Elm Hall shoot will be better than ever. Kurt

Hoping to make it over that way for a day, but our annual river cleanup/kayak trip falls on that weekend again. Friday might be a go. Hopefully not too steamy out that day ;)

Pappy had the fire going when we got here, had a good trip coming up and went for a ride and saw a lot of deer this evening.

Pappy and I shot all the Targets yesterday but they must have changed the course because I didn’t see any Coconut trees this year.

Had a great time at Rocky’s yesterday making Brats and Burgers for the Friday evening dinner at the Shoot.

I was over last night hanging with a few out of state buds for a couple hours and a couple beers. The boys have the grounds looking tip top as usual. I will be back Saturday to sweat it out with them again. Its dang hot and humid. This great northern polar bear isn't compatible with heat :)

Shot a course this afternoon and I knew I was gonna suffer when the guys coming off all looked like they jumped in a lake fully clothed :)

Just got home from the Elm Hall shoot and like Damon said it was warm but I was there for a week and I had A great time shooting and hanging out with a bunch of my friends. And the food they served Friday and Saturday evening was very good. All for $35 , food and shooting. Capet for next year. Kurt

Another great shoot put on by Rocky and the crew of volunteers who did a fantastic job setting up the targets, clearing camp sites, maintaining the facilities and the awesome meals on Friday and Saturday. A big THANK YOU goes out to them. This is one of our favorite shoots of the year and if you didn't go you missed out. Looking forward to next year.

Made it home Monday, what a great time, lots of old friends/food and fellowship, also some bow shooting thrown in.:) Love that place and all the guys and gals that put it on. Can't wait till next year. Pappy
