The Pa Longbow Assoc’s new location for our April shoot will be Shade Mt Bowmen. The shoot is April 19-21 and were looking forward to this new shoot and seeing you all there!

Nobody is going into this one blind-folded. We have a work party setup for the week before to take care of business.

A couple of us are toying with the idea of camping. Coming from Bedford and Somerset counties, a day trip is just too far.

And don’t forget your fishing poles…stocked trout stream flows through property. Pa regs apply.

Up to the top. Friday looks to be a chance of showers, Saturday looks good.

Of course it is Wednesday and that can all change till then. The nice thing about Shade is the fact that they have a very spacious indoor clubhouse to hang out in.

I learned a lesson a long time ago about weather reports.....I don't let them keep me from doing something I want to do. Lesson learned.

I had a great time today. Very good to meet you John and nice to meet George. It was good to see Paul again and spend time with Craig. The weather held out and the course was lots of fun.

I’m planning to go to Baltimore in May and, if any if you can make it, I hope to see you there.

You can always count on your buddies to show off your best shot.....it took a lot of concentration to center punch that limb!

I actually have been practicing that shot for years now, and pretty much have it mastered.

Weather was almost fall-like today and actually was a very nice day to shoot. Probably 40+ in attendance today.

Saturday is going to hit 60 with clouds then sun. Chicken and ribs on the Que will taste really good come lunch time.

Did the chicken work out?

It was a nice shoot. I would’ve been better if the Indian behind the bow did his part more often. :^D This guy is still running around. Yep, I shot right over him. :-)

It would’ve. Not I would’ve. I think I need more coffee.

About 110 shooters give or take for the shoot. Everyone I had the chance to talk to had a really good time.

Weather was cloudy and chilly Friday and sunny and warmer on Saturday.

All in all it seemed like a very good kickoff for Shade and the PLA.

Another great time at Shade Mt! I would like to thank everyone who can out to support both clubs because w/o you all we are nothing. As a member of both clubs we really enjoy putting on these shoot which is a lot of work but our biggest reward is seeing everyone having a great time. It was nice seeing and talking to many of you folks even if it was just hi and wish i had more time to hang out. I was working registration all 3 days and when shut down i was helping out the shade crew…needless to say i’m exhausted. I was finally able to string up the bow and hit the course with Alvin and his boy Owen. We had a fun time and plenty of laughs. Almost forgot…118 shooter… Craig if i marked them down correctly! Anyway, thanks again and looking forward to our next shoot in June at Marsh Hill.

Had a ball at this shoot. Thanks to the PLA and Shade Mt for their efforts. Enjoyed seeing the PA gang again, those active on here and others I had met in Sept. Planning on going back down for Marsh Hill and picking up a Mahantango Raven on the trip.

The course was on both sides of the creek running through the property. Shot the course LH in the morning RH in the afternoon.

Already planning to return in Sept.
