I'm sure we have done this before, but as season closes in it's something to help close the time. My favorite camo pattern is treebark. I still have a short billed cap I bought when I was 6 for a whopping $3.50. also wore out several copies of bow hunting October whitetails. So what is yours?

I have a pair of camo pants I hunt in most of the time. They are older Mossy Oak Fall Foliage. My ensemble rarely ever matches though. From old army green/black to Real Tree tree bark or.... just as long as the silhouette is broken. If the good cotton, or all wool plaid was not so expensive I would prefer earth tones in that.

Anything that breaks up my outline for the terrain I'm in, and that doesn't reflect light and make noise. I've actually killed deer just as close with wool plaid on as I have with a camo pattern.

Now...a GHILLIE suit on the other hand is an entirely different story! If you don't move in one of those that's about as close to being invisible as you can get!

I still like the old woodland camo about as well as anything. I tend to like the bigger patterns best.

Used to use Bob Fratzkee's Winona Camo as my outside cover. It was quiet and looked pretty good in the fall woods. now it's kind of a mish-mash.

When I wear camo its ultimate camo. Otherwise Carhartt tan bibs and gray sweatshirt.

Predator spring green, fall gray, woodland camo, and neutral colors, fde, od green, have a couple kuiu and Sitka pieces for extended trips due to fabric quality

With the way I hunt an open pattern is required. I'm not trying to look like a tree...im trying to not look like a person.

ASAT hands down. I’m going to pick up some Predator fall grey here soon since it’s time to replenish supplies. I also like to use Asbels Timber Ghost.

Anything that has gray, white or light blotches in it. Anything else blobs you out especially in a tree. The predator camo is pretty good and I change depending on the time of the season here in WI. When the leaves fall, it is mainly a snow camo pattern. Lots of times during the main part of the season, it may be a checkered flannel shirt with light grey.

My favorite is WW II but I mostly use predator.

ASAT and Red/Black wool shirts and coats (which is not designed to hide from humans but deer don't see it as a threat)

I have a few different camos. Probably wear Outfitter from Cabelas the most. I have found bits and pieces in different fabrics from heavy to light over the years. Works for me. Also will wear drab solids or plaid for hunting. Not moving is the best camo.

I should add to mine, not SITKA!!! All I can say about that is WOW, if you need a loan to buy camo clothing there is a problem!!!!

ASAT I believe is the most effective and my favorite to wear in the field, the 3D suit. I think Predator looks the coolest.

Depends on the day/temps/conditions.

The skin art and a camo T shirt works just fine when it's hot.

I have a large variety of camo clothes, old school and the new stuff. I like the old school camos the best like Mossyoak Original Bottom Land, and the frog skin camo but they're hard to find sometimes. Sometimes I just wear a plaid shirt or jacket and earth tone BDU pants. I really liked the camo in the attached picture, but I don't remember what it was called, maybe illusion camo.

I like the Predator patterns a lot.

More Predator

Faded Trebark, Advantage, and Outfitter by Cabelas. But I have lots of different patterns and as I've gotten older I wear the piece based on comfort, feel, etc. so I'm usually mixed-and-matched in my patterns.

My cold weather stuff is ASAT fleece by Day One and it's really worn fleece and muted. That fabric not reflecting sun, combined with the faded pattern is actually unbelievable. It truly just "melts" into any background.

Sometimes it's just too hot for pants.

When i wear camo it's usually trebark or a ghillie coat.

I love Vietnam tiger stripes. I don’t have any to Hunt in or anything, I just really like the patterns.

Old school Mossyoak bottomland insulated coat. And Woolrich advantage wool pants. I've had this coat and pants for over 20 years.

Don't really have a favorite per se, though I do like the kryptek stuff.

Usually have on some forest green pants, snake boots, and a thin/vented mossy oak shirt during archery season. On cooler mornings I'll throw on a mossy oak zip fleece and a tan shemagh.

Prefer bends of wool in gray, khaki and plaids for the most part, but strictly for camo pattern etc, best I ever used was Fratzke or Winona camo.And still do, great stuff and blends in well.

Mostly lighter plaids. Predators are dark.

Birdog, that reminds me of the old timber ghost camo. Really liked that stuff. I was sold when I saw a pic of me with an elk I shot and could not see my bottom half because I was wearing timber ghost cargo pants.

I'm partial to TrueTimber Prairie, even though it's lighter for open prairie, it blends really well in late season timber, especially in leaf litter.

Tiger stripes

Its too bad they went out of business, but Broadside camo was amazing.

Realtree xtra grey was a good one years ago. Prairie Ghost when they were in business. I also have some Seclusion in their open country pattern, not sure if that company is in business anymore.

Those were good but once I started using ASAT the difference was clear.

I think the Vietnam Tiger Stripe camo would blend in a lot of places.

I love ASAT, & was lucky enough to get it from First Lite before they discontinued it.

But i've found that the First Lite patterns-Specter, Fusion, & Cypher all work just as well. If I could only afrord 1 of these patterns, it would be Fusion-it's the most versatile, IMO...

Back in the day before I had some extra $, I made what I called "Poor Man's ASAT." I took the military 3-color desert camo BDU's & got some black & brown waterproof fabric paint, & painted the pants & jacket with "ASAT-like" curved lines...That worked too!

I have a bunch of different camo in totes in the cellar. Old school, to new school. to wool plaids.

My favorite is WIYF. You can't buy it or order, you just have to wait for it....then get out there. Amazing what you can be wearing with the "wind in your face".

Normally I wear plaids but if I do wear camo, time proven woodland is my choice.

I like dark earth tone plaid shirts/jackets with khaki pants, or Predator fall grey.

This year’s collection includes some pants in basically a woodland pattern, gaiters in mossy oak somethingorother, a green plaid shirt from Woolrich and a Boxcall hat. The Woolrich is a real go-to item; bought a size too big and shrank it hard so it’s extra thick.

I do like old-school Predator, especially the Fall Gray, because in black & white it seems to blend into ANYTHING, but functionality trumps everything. An Elk weighs 4- 5 times what I do, and they can disappear in their 2-tone tan/brown get-up even if everything around them is lush & green, so I don’t think patterns matter nearly as much to the animals as it does to us…

ASAT and old Predator but some kind of plaid too. What’s very important is the kind of fabric, synthetic shines too much, wool absorbs light

The pattern has never much mattered to me. I do however really enjoy the performance gear from Sitka, Kuiu and First Lite. It just does what I want it to. That being said, my wife has on occasion poked fun at me and my camo when I’ve shot a ton of whitetails in jeans and flannel shirt after work. It all works.

Pattern doesn't concern me. Army military digital. $6 at Goodwill. I cut off the extraneous pockets.

I don't wear camo, on purpose. Sometimes the stuff I like is camo. But, I've always been a fan of m81. The multicam patterns have been growing on me too. They are more subtle than I first thought.

I don’t know that I’ll worry about it much this year, probably plaid shirt with my brown work pants. I have an old pair of hunting pants my grandfather used to wear in mossy oak bottomland, I’d love to find more of that.
