45, that’s prolly Chad but I can’t remember his last name. I’ve been out of archery for several years and my memory isn’t too good anymore.

I don’t know the person mentioned above.

Very nice. Does anyone rabbit hunt with their trad bow? I was just thinking this last week how much fun it would be to do that. Maybe if someone knows a place we can do that in February.

@601Boho I don't seek them out, but I do carry blunts when I deer hunt. Never pass up an opportunity for a free meal. lol

I hit it hard over the three day season. I saw a spike and a few does. Heard of one really nice one killed.

From: 601Boho
Date: 18-Sep-23

I did not go. Waiting on cooler weather as well. I heard of a nice one killed with a Hoyt recurve. I think it was up around Lexington ??

From: CoyoteJohn
Date: 18-Sep-23

No velvet hunt for me. Been too busy with work and trying to get a new bow dialed in. I'll be going weekends come October, with a 10-day camping trip set for late archery season into the first week of gun season. Freezer is looking slim.

The nice one I saw was from the Natchez area. It did not involve a trad bow

From: 601Boho
Date: 18-Sep-23

Oh ok. I haven’t heard about that one. Happy for the hunter though. Im more concerned with getting some rain and cooler temps right now than anything.

From: Quack
Date: 20-Sep-23

We didn’t go this year. Did last year but didn’t have a buck in range.

From: 601Boho
Date: 21-Sep-23

I checked the forecast today. Looks like it’s gonna be mid oct before it gets cool enough or wet enough to plant our plots. Hope we don’t have another hot dry spell like this for a long time.

I’m in Jones county. Cal
