I sent this longbow out to Jim at Centaur for him to stipple the grip. But USPS has lost it somehow. I’ve filled out every form they have for lost packages but have received zero replies back. I’m just asking if anyone sees it for sale out on the web somewhere to message me please. It’s a lefty 66” and 42@28. Mostly all black FR4 riser with tan striping and black glass limbs. Thanks

I had a lost bow. USPS said to look for it on their auction. I don't have the info anymore, but they might be able to provide.

Yes, I was told after 60 days they auction off lost packages from the missing package center in Atlanta. 60 million lost packages a year go through that center I’m told. I’ve filled out every form USPS has to try and locate it but have never got a single reply back from them. From what I can gather from all my research and talking with post office is they really could care less about it. It’s pretty disheartening to “lose” a brand new bow that you waited almost a year to get. I filed the insurance claim but undoubtedly will hear nothing from them on that either!

Those people that work in any shipping that don't care, I bet they would if there was a line of people waiting for their jobs.

Thought I was going to have the same experience. Bought an old Herters Utopian on EBay. Seller shipped USPS with tracking and tracking ended with arrival at the St Paul hub. Did not show up on expected delivery date. Two days later (1 week) it scanned at my post office for delivery. What a relief! No idea why it was never scanned beyond the 1st hub arrival…

Mine has been gone now with no scan or evidence for 37 days.

4 months gone with zero evidence from USPS that they are even remotely looking for it. Also denied my insurance claim that I paid for and have the proof.

Denied claim is really bad, I would keep after them.

I really wished there was someone out there who had the ability to put a lawsuit on USPS for situations just as this. Start getting into their top end pockets, somebody might change their tune. Never been a fan of lawsuits, but I think that there are not enough hours in the day for all the butt-whippings that need to be done.

Sorry for your lost bow. Maybe persistence can bring something through the insurance??

You are allowed to try a claim 3 times, which I have, and the 3rd one goes Washington DC. I did 3rd and final one on October 1st with zero replies so far.

Well after all my crying and complaining and multiple emails and claims, the USPS finally paid up yesterday for my lost bow insurance claim. A little bit of my faith has been restored. Still would rather have the bow ??

So the moral of the story is that after you followed the procedures that were put in place and after the required waiting time everything worked out as it should have on a lost parcel insurance claim ?

Todd i hate that for you,at least you got your money back,i've had happen to me before also.

From: Dry Bones

Todd, I am glad you at least got compensated for the lost bow, sorry the USPS lost it. HOWEVER the the moral here is that, it was not that he followed the procedures...., it was that if you just stay as a constant reminder long enough it would be better to pay you off for their mistake. Mistakes happen that's fine, but Todd is the FIRST person I have ever heard of being paid by the USPS. I am willing to bet it did not cover the cost of the bow. The USPS is a modern joke, and a bad one at best. My papa was a postman, he used to tell me all the time that it was a much different situation then. People cared about their jobs and worked hard at it. That's the biggest issue now, nobody cares.

Never had issues with USPS, and that's amazing for an entity that can deliver 2 billion packages per year and still not lose most of that. Try counting to 2 billion sometime, it will likely take you more than a year just to do that.

Todd, I hope it shows up. Regardless, it's no fun having something lost in the mail

From: Todd McDiffitt

The moral is I relentlessly pursued my claim for over 4 months with untold number of phone calls, emails and USPS forms and 3 official claim files until I got what I initially paid for. They make it extremely hard to get what you paid for at the start. It would take 30-40 days to get a reply to anything. I was about to throw my hands up in the air when they emailed and said check is in the mail. It’s over now I guess but will be very hesitant to ever ship another bow through USPS.
