I am running low on my

Carbon Express Heritage 90 shafts and am looking for a direct replacement. Similar spine/weight and outside diameter. Thanks

Talk to Big Jim about his Dark Timbers.

I would guess 1916 aluminum, or go with a low GPI .500 like an Easton 6.5 bowhunter and front load it until it tunes. Overall weight will probably end up very similar with the added benefit of FOC.

So.. My Dark Timbers are made in the same factory as the CX but are not exactly the same.. They do however have some similar characteristics like being extremely durable and very well made. The CX sizes are a bit different with spine vs diameter.

My Dark Timbers come in spines from 340-800. I'm sure I can figure out something for you. BIgJim

Carbon Express 90 = 0.588 spine. So a .600 spine should work OK

I also use the CX 90s and they are a 600 spine. I am looking at the Black Eagle shafts, I believe their Vintage model which is similar. They also have better consistency than others I've tried.

Played around with a bunch of different carbons and could not get anything to work like I wanted. Had some 1916 xx75 camo hunters. Gave them a try, came out within 2 grains of my carbon express, and bare shaft and fletched tuned perfect, no muss no fuss. I haven't shot aluminums for a good number of years but it looks like this is what I am going to go with.
