Since my pics were apparently too large in my previous post from a couple days ago, here it is again for anyone who might be interested...
I just finished making a very special bow that I'm donating to the Compton organization in memory of Fred Asbell.
It will be available to bid on at their auction.
The bow is my 58" Homage one-piece recurve, and the weight is 44#.
It has a dark brown futurewood riser with black glass limbs (bamboo core), kind of reminiscent of some of the original Asbell era Bighorn Grand Slam recurves.
I also purchased a handmade wool bow case from Teresa Asbell that will be included with this bow to make it a little extra special!
Please keep in mind that building bows is currently just a hobby for me that I do on a very unreliable and inconsistent basis, and I'm not taking any custom orders for these bows.
So, if you like what you see and you're interested in getting one, bidding on this bow would be a great chance to end up with one.
It'll help raise money for a great organization and honor the memory of a legendary icon!
