Not Kabars but here are the three knives I carried in the 8 years I served with the U.S. Army. Left to Right; M7S Imperial U.S. Army Survival Knife, M3 U.S. Army Trench Combat Fighting Knife, Ontario 499 Airforce Survival Knife.

And that is me on the left holding a G3 West German Infantry Rifle.

Mine comes with me on all fly away hunts and camp outs. Use it to pound in tent stakes, baton kindling, cut meat, sometimes to cook with. Utilitarian!

My father served in the Navy during WW II. He wasn't issued a knife aboard ship so he bought this Remington PAL RH-36. He carried it hunting but I never have.

My buddy took a head shot in Nam and lost his K bar at some point. When I was returning they were taking everything away from us so I taped my K Bar to calf of my leg to get it home. (No xray back then) I gave it to my buddy as a keep sake.

Got a Ka-bar was given to me by my grandfather when i was 12.

lost it way back in the mts hunting one day. sheath snap had come off. Was pretty down about it, no telling where it could have fallen out, i had covered a lot of ground, miles in fact.

about a yr or so later i was in the mts, stopped and was looking around, something caught my eye, and there was my knife under the leaves...still have it.

Nice knives everyone! Here’s one that you don’t see everyday; a KA-BAR Big Brother with a 9-1/4” blade and an OA length of 14-1/4”. I think they are still available. Lance

Although this is stamped KABAR I believe it may have been made for them by Bowden, out of Georgia . I have two smaller versions of this knife with the Bowden name on the blade. The sheath was made by me.

Wudstix, hope you're nice to the knife model, she scares me...8^)

GUTPILEPA, or Black Spot and/or Don T Lewis - Curious, are those knives stamped KA-BAR?

Photographed is my vintage Utica Sportsman's Knife which looks very similar I think was manufactured by Utica Cutlery Company, Utica NY... Both KA-BAR and Utica are manufactured in upstate NY... Wonder if they were somehow connected at one time, could not find anything on the internet indicating so...

From: the Black Spot
Date: 07-Jun-23

Zbone the one I have that looks similar to yours does not have any stamping or name etched anywhere. The handle scales are solid material. Not plastic.
