Some years back our local archery club hosted a Traditional shoot once a year. They quit having it, but are considering starting it up again. My question is would any of you who live near by be interested in attending. We have 4 trails with 40 targets total. Plenty of camping space. We own our own property. It's a beautiful place. I told them I'd ask. I'd love having it again. It was always a good time. Greg

I used to shoot there from time to time, IT IS A GREAT COURSE, for those of you not familiar with it...it's barely south of Ottumwa, Iowa.

INDEED. Though I am unable to shoot at least for this year and probably part of next year, I would travel from SE Mn. to participate or at least meet up with other like minded archers. Use to hit many 3Ds in Ia., Mn., and Mi. Thanks for the inquiry.

Great shoot and course, I remember the "You Kill it, we grill it road kill grill" I think that was the name of it. Everyone would bring something to for them to cook and they put on a big tasty feed. I would definitely think about coming back down.

I would come up from mid Missouri if the dates fit my schedule.

I used to go to that shoot every year. I would definitely make the shoot if I could. Great course and fun to shoot. There used to be a nice trad shoot in Fairfield too. I have been looking for some trad shoots in the area and all the ones I used to go to seemed to have stopped. Pekin, Coleta, Fairfield, Ottumwa, Burlington, Ames, Davenport, etc.

I remember a group from Missouri that came every year. They would camp. Stayed the whole weekend. Pretty good cook's if I remember right.

Trad only shoots are rare in Iowa. I know of only 2. Eldora rondi which is this weekend and Toddville which is in Aug. I think.

Yea, The Toddville is called the Art Foster memorial Traditional shoot and is the 5th and 6th of Aug. ,, I like that shoot too. Missed it last year because of a family thing.

Been seeing some good responses. I'll be doing what I can my end. Hopefully it'll all work out. If it does, I'll keep you all posted. Greg
