Corax elk shot at 100 yards. Judging by the results I believe waiting for a closer shot is advisable.

Full disclosure, arrow #6. Definitely waiting for a closer opportunity . What can I say I just can't hang with the long rangers.

At 100 yards any hit in body is good on a target.

You never know when you’ll be pursuing a wounded animal, good to shoot long for a lot of reasons

Looks like fun to me!!

And just to be real clear on this point - I don’t think I’m necessarily any better on the artillery range than anybody else; I’m just less reluctant than most to push my luck with it.

But IT CAN BE DONE!!!!

Good on ya for giving it a whirl. Once you’ve hit a target from way on out there, it’s just plain HARD to not try again.

I can get to 60 in my side yard, and maybe 70 if is take an angle from one corner to the next. When I was shooting regularly in competition, long shots were part of the program. I'm glad I had that opportunity since it me a better close shot pretty quickly.

MY CONFUSE? Did arrow hit the target? WHERE?? I'm lost!

Batman, look up high in the back.

Long distance shooting is good practice, lets me know the weak parts of my shot that needs work.

Sure does highlight your form issues…. And gives you plenty of time to contemplate the error of your ways while that shaft continues its course, utterly impervious to any amount of body english you might send in its direction…
