have an old 73-75 new to me bear kodiak magnum on the way. 41# @28 inch. I have exactly 28inch draw. Shoot cedar arrows cut 29.5" 125 grain zwickey broad heads or field points. split finger, will do b55 string for older bow (to be safe). Do I need 40 -45# or 45-50# arrows. whatdoyathink? thanks in advance.

45/50 at least, maybe 50/55. Better to err on the heavy side than too light.

Hope to see photos of the BOW! GOOD LUCK!

45-50's with you cutting them for a 29.5" (I am assuming that is to Back of Point) arrow and you'll be drawing 41#. If you are cutting the shaft at 29.5" and then cutting the point taper making a 28.5" arrow, then the 40-45's. DANNY

I have basically the same bow but a 27" draw and I use 40-45 so I go along with the guys who are telling you 45-50.

They'll both work well.

I'm using a 10 strand B-55 on mine, it's plenty for that weight.

Thank you all, Happy I do not have to buy new lighter weight arrows like I was thinking. Have plenty of 45-50's

Never get new arrows for a bow you have not shot. Once you shoot it you may need the stiffer arrows. Always amazes me when people ask strangers who have never seen them shoot to recommend spine.

Kind like saying don't confuse me with facts.
