LH 23” Deerseeker wood/phenolic ILF Riser

Offering my 23” left-hand Deerseeker ILF riser for trade. I would rate it as in excellent, used very little condition. I bought this riser new hoping to make it my primary 3D riser this summer. I’ve decided to use my 25” metal riser instead. So… I’d just as well let this go.

I can email high-definition pictures of the ones listed here if you’d like to see it in more detail.

The riser is cut past center, so with a side plate the arrow sits nicely with the tip slightly outboard.

You need to know I did add a stabilizer bushing and a bushing (similar to the Pat Norris model) for plunger, adjustable rest, etc.

Would consider trading on/for the right left-hand Decut or X-Spot 23” or 25" riser.

Offering my left-hand 23" (customized) White Feather Firefinch riser for trade. The riser is in excellent, shot very little, condition. It's made with very thin-ply actionwood, so it should be very stout.

There are a few things you need to know.

First: The grip didn’t suit me, so I altered it a bit. I think you'll find it quite comfortable. I flattened the bulbous part of the grip and altered right side of the palm to mimic Jager’s 2.0.

Second: The riser was cut way too far out from center. Now, the tip of my carbon shafts sits slightly outside the centerline of the bow.

Third: The riser did not come with a stabilizer bushing so I added one. All this work is nicely done.

Forth: I added strips of leather in the limb pockets. I do that to all my ILF risers; I believe it helps with sound and vibrations. If you don’t like it, you can simple peel it off. They’re attached with contact cement.

Now… I don't claim to be a bowyer or a professional woodworker, but I have built several presses and bows over the years. I’ll guarantee you won’t be disappointed with the work I’ve done to the riser. If the work doesn’t suit you, just send it back and I'll reimburse you for the shipping back to me.

'61 Howatt Hunter,, had a pretty significant weight reduction of 8#'s and touch up refinish work. Drilled for what I believe was for a Kwikee quiver. Structurally solid with straight limbs and strong tips. This is a solid shooter and will make a good field bow or a very nice starter bow for a youngster. I have an OMP Back Quiver for trade. This quiver is offered by 3R Archery. The quiver is 4-1/4” in dia and is 20-1/2” deep. Made from waxed canvas and leather. The quiver was made in China and imported. The quiver has never been used or worn other than me trying it on. 1976 Damon howatt Coronado #55@28” 60” AMO. When I got the bow it was in pretty rough condition so I lightly sanded it with 220 grit and sprayed it with VHT matte finish. The riser turned out really good but the limbs had a chemical reaction with the finish and got cloudy. More pictures available.
