Have to be careful on the wooden platforms? Do "NOT" get TOO close to the bannisters when shooting. Might have a nasty impact with the bow and bad things could happen. Saw a compound shooter get too close. His bow hit the bannister and went overboard. He was not a happy camper. Just sayin'

This is the second ruined arrow of the day. The downsides are both a ruined arrow, and they only scored 5's. That doesn't really matter much. It was lots of fun and a good memory.

From: Corax_latrans

This one is another favorite of mine… I usually back off a bit more so that I can just see the top of the target (which is basically on the tip of the red arrow) but NOT the insert.

These two shots were consecutive attempts a few days apart.

I’m not sure exactly what I did wrong, but I did it almost exactly each time.

Out of 15 arrows, 2 or 3 passed high, but on the line; 2 passed just under the belly line; 8 found foam.

ALL of them made a little noise passing through the branches of the blowdown, but with FPs the deflections weren’t immediately fatal…..

Has anyone ever seen Nemo miss?

Last shoot. My son Tell and I

From: Nemophilist
Date: 22-Jun-24

Nemophilist's embedded Photo

I don't miss often if the shot is 30 yards and closer. Past 30 yards I'm not as consistent but most of my practicing is 30 yards and closer. I practice a lot, at least once a day and sometimes more than once. It's hard to win competitions and kill game animals if your shooting isn't good.

"Has anyone ever seen Nemo miss?"

I can tell you that Nemo is the best shot I've ever seen in person. I get to shoot with him a good bit and it's humbling for sure. His advice and sorting with him had definitely made me a better shot.

From: Jed Gitchel
Date: 23-Jun-24

What was the distance on your shot corax?

From: Corax_latrans
Date: 23-Jun-24

It’s hard to step things off reliably over the rise and fall of the course…. You can see that the arrow was dropping pretty quickly, though… I had to back out to this pic to get it to post, so it’s a little grainy but high 10-ring. First shot (orange fletch) is in the foreground.

Best guess is something 90+

From: Corax_latrans
Date: 23-Jun-24

Corax_latrans's embedded Photo

If I can get it to post, this pic makes it look like a hard quarter-away, but shows the rate of descent and placement much better. The shot taken from lower on the hillside exaggerates the sink rate…

From: the Black Spot
Date: 24-Jun-24

Nemo is definitely impressive with his shooting!! I would love to be that good!

Does “nemopholist” mean three in the bullseye?…:)

I guess I envy the way a bunch of shooters on here can stack em in there.
