Not my design, someone else posted a picture awhile back. I drew up a pattern best guess from the picture. Nice thing if you loop over the top of the string it cinches down. Easy on, easy off

If you make your loops the correct size, there is no need for a string keeper!

Bob, I agree except.. If you use a bow sleeve there is a tendency for the bottom loop to come off. I suppose you could put the bow in upside down and that would fix the problem. I think the bows look neater in the rack with string keepers

I just made two more this last weekend like Cstyles' design, but add a punch hole about a half-inch or so below the fold to thread the leather end in to. Works good.

Bob, while that maybe true on most recurves, not all bows are created equal. Most of my Osage selfbow I build the last 6” of the limb tappers pretty fast. Even with fairly tight fitting loops, after the string is shot in a bit and things have stretched a little, he string will be able to slip down the limb a couple of inches, causing slack in the string. My bottom string loop is pretty darn tight, but can still pull off when pulling out of a cloth bow sleeve. Not all bows are created equal.

I make and use these on my R/D bows.

These are made from moose hide.

Mine are almost the same. I use the tag to lace them instead of sewing.

Bootaka, l like that, easier to make, less materials

As above, rubberband on bottom tip.

Those dry and break after a while though.

Started picking up female's hair elastics, there everywhere.

Same as Buzz….ponytail holders. With three girls in the house there’s plenty around.
