From: sheepdogreno

From: Clydebow

There are two camping areas. The small one is usually full by regulars on Thursday evening. If there is a problem there is a large parking area across the road where you can set up.

Parking in the camping areas is for campers only.

Parking is not allowed on the shoulder of the hard road.

From: BigStriper1
Date: 16-May-23

There is usually plenty of Camping area, as said before, a great shoot and target set up and great people. A lot of people are missing out on this shoot by not coming out to see just how good it is. One of our favorites.

From: waterlogged

From: BigStriper1

Sure wish you guys could open the main range Thursday at noon so we could get some more shooting in.

From: Clydebow
Date: 27-May-23

Nancy tripped and fell while shooting on a range a couple days ago and landed on her right shoulder. She can just barely lift her arm up above shoulder height. Might not be able to shoot, but she's working on it. I guess if nothing else, she can keep score.

From: BigStriper1
Date: 27-May-23

Danny, sorry to hear about Nancy’s accident. Hope she feels better soon and can get back to shooting. Always good to see you guys. Won’t be long now.

From: Grumpy Jim

The forecast is looking really good for the weather. See you all there. Greg

From: Clydebow
Date: 05-Jun-23

Arrived here yesterday(Sunday)morning. Cool sleeping weather last night. Already saw a couple deer. Just had a peanut butter bagel and a cup of coffee. Next the practice range!

FYI: Hwy construction is terrible on 57 north from Mt. Vernon IL to Effingham IL. Then from Effingham on to Cloverdale. Some sections are eight miles long. We were lucky we came on Sunday while no work was being done. I would expect delays if work is in progress.

Any list of bowyers avaiable?

From: otis
Date: 09-Jun-23

Benlo Bows, Big Jim, Blackwidow, Danny Norris, Timberhawk are here and there are alot of individuals here selling used bows. Saw several nice bows on peoples tables. Blacktail, Robertson. Just to name a couple. Hope you can make it and look around. Shoot the course while you are here.

David

From: Witherstick
Date: 10-Jun-23

I have to say that the weather was perfect this morning. We managed to shoot the courses first thing this morning. We will be in Minnesota tomorrow and hope to shoot Coon Rapids.

But I first would like to say that we really enjoyed some of the different target setups. As usual the courses are simply as good as it gets. Now, I can be pretty tough on the pricing structure and the over emphasis on scoring at Cloverdale which is in my opinion why Compton takes some much away from them. This year you can shoot a second round for free! Excellent! We were unable to stay and do so, but it certainly helps make the shoot more appealing. Also, while the courses were not crowded early this morning, we only saw one person scoring and he quit scoring about half way through. So, the flow was smooth and everyone was enjoying just shooting and socializing.

Have to say that I really enjoyed more than just the course this year. Well done

My daughters first cloverdale and definitely won’t be her last. She had so much fun! Thank you to those who help put this together and give us the opportunity to come enjoy your club! Her favorite target was the moose!

From: BigStriper1
Date: 12-Jun-23

Any scores up yet, did they have the shoot off, or rained out?

From: bowhunt
Date: 13-Jun-23

Frisky won it.Blew the field away.Perfect score. No one had a chance against him in the shootoff.

From: Clydebow
Date: 13-Jun-23

No shoot off.

From: BigStriper1
Date: 13-Jun-23

If Frisky had a perfect score he should have won, I knew he could do it. Must not have had the shoot off on count of rain, another reason I don’t care for them.

From: BigStriper1
Date: 15-Jun-23

Big thank you to the guys and gal’s that made the Cloverdale shoot so good, we had a great week at at the shoot and the weather was nice also. Always look forward to the next year. Thanks.

My daughters first year and she won the cub class. She shot lights out and for fun was hitting the kill zone from the adult stakes on several targets as well. Needless to say she is stoked and wants to come back every year now! She even told dad she would still come with me when she’s a teenager haha. One proud dad here

From: bowhunt

Ought Oh.Watch out adult womens class in a few more years. She's coming for you.
