This will be my primary shooting/hunting setup this year all year. I may fling an arrow with another bow but, only for a short range session. The DAS is my love affair. DAS Dalaa 60", 40lbs @ 28". I'll be shooting Arrow Dynamic Trad Lites cut 29" B.O.P. and tipped with 135gr field tips and for hunting 135gr Zwickey Eskimos. Arrow weight is just under 500gr. May also shoot Black Eagle Vintage 500 shafts cut same and tipped same.

Bear A mag with 40# number 1 limbs. 500 spine with a few different heads.

I'll be shooting and bowhunting this year with my 1980s factory camo Bear Kodiak Takedown. 53#@28" (55# at my draw length). B- Riser with #1 Limbs. I still haven't decided which arrows to hunt with, either 55/60# Cedars or 2016 Aluminums, fletched with three 5" feathers (Parabolic or Shield) in yellow or pink. Broadheads will be either Bear (greenie) Razorheads or Journeymans. Arrow weight will be 515gr (9.36gpp) with aluminum arrows, 555gr (10.09gpp) cedar arrows. Three or four arrow Kwikee Kwiver.

Nice looking bows guys!

TradinOregon, I really like the camo job on your limbs.

Frank, I know whatever arrow combo you go with, you'll be deadly. I'm really looking forward to shooting with you just as soon as I'm able!

I'm not sure what bow I'll be hunting with yet. I had my rotator cuff surgery on Jan. 11th so I have a ways to go before I can shoot but....I will do everything in my power to be ready for the upcoming season!

Way too early to know. I've got bows to make and shoot and then I'll choose sometime before October.

From: George D. Stout
Date: 07-Feb-23

Yessir, to early indeed for fickle ol' me. It may even be one I don't have right now. I do have my favorites, but we shall see, I'll be shooting a lot of them this year before season even gets close.

#45 Black Hunter. Maybe, maybe not. Just reinjured my left rotator cuff ice fishing last week with my son in New Mexico. After months of babying and rehabbing it, my camp chair leg suddenly went into the snowpack while I was pulling out a lil ol 11" perch. "Way to go Bob!" lol

Ice fishing in New Mexico? We don't even have any ice in north Indiana. LOL

I'll be shooting my Yellowstone Longbow wood arrows I changing from a bow mounted quiver to a Sunset back quiver.

Trad bow hunter 1965

You are gonna love that change

Give the back quiver time

You got the best there just time to break it in and get second nature with it

From: Longcruise
Date: 07-Feb-23

Like Jeff, I might build it this month or maybe in August. :) Arrows will be Wapiti cedar.

Apologize for the double post. Not sure why that came out like that! Some great looking setups for sure. I'm debating on not using a bow quiver but, still in the tinkering phase with this setup. Thanks to all so far for sharing as you know, we all like pics! :-)

Mike, the ice on Eagles Nest Lake was 12" thick. 8300 ft elevation. -10f at 5 A.M. Thurs Feb 2. -6f Friday. Lake is essentially in a bowl in the Rockies. Holds cold like a chest freezer. 61f in Co Spgs when we got back Friday noon.

I hope to be hunting with new bow ordered I have ordered. Lots of time to hope while you wait.

As of now it will be my 66” Northern Mist superior that’s 46# @ 29” with home made cedar arrows. Just borrowed a Low profile banana cut chopper to chop up enough feathers to make 2 dozen arrows. Never used them before so curious how I’ll like them. Broad heads I’m not sure yet. I have so many kinds it will just depend on my mood at the time. Lol. But leaning towards Eskimos. But could anything. I have a lot of options. Will use a HH cheetah as well I’m sure with home made arrows and ACE heads as well as those are made up already.

Still early but more than likely one of these Grayling statics, wood shafts, Bear greenies or Ace standards and back quiver.

From: Red Beastmaster

Hunting season is over eight months from now. I typically decide on Labor Day weekend. Ask then.

From: TradInOregon
Date: 07-Feb-23

@Moleman1, really like the looks of those classic statics!

From: Dirtnap
Date: 07-Feb-23

Had a great season with my new to me Martin Hunter, so I will be using that one again. 50# @28" with a 31.5" 2219 aluminum arrow. Broadhead will be a glue on Grizzly single bevel with an adapter for 225gn up front and a total arrow weight of 720gn. Quietest recurve I've ever shot, can't shoot much past 20 yards with that arrow but I hardly ever take a shot father than that anyways.

Like many others it’s way too early for me to know. But it will will likely be a Black Hunter or a Bear Takedown.
