I finally have been able to get around a few photos of my new Mahantango Raven that Jim Martin made. It is all Osage with old Osage fence post overlays curtesy of Monkeyball. Thanks again! It really highlighted the bow. The bow is super-fast and extremely quiet even without the buttons and whiskers. Loving it!

For some reason there is a wild glare on the end of the tip in the last picture. Visually the tip is clean. I can't figure out why it looks that way in the picture. I also forgot mention the beaver tail grip, micarta overlay w/ Osage post highlights (Monkeyball) and the tempered "boo" core. The beads I added for eye candy. I shot it all day two Saturdays ago when the weather was so nice! Please forgive me for the terrible pics. I am not very tech savvy! I was a physics teacher by trade. We didn't use computers; we blew things up.

It is 1 and 3/8 inches at the fads NBK. I discovered that the glare on the tip was from the chandelier. It is a cloudy day in Pa... DUMB! Yea! Shooting like a dream Wayne! It seems to like heavy arrows. But then I am probably pulling it further than 28 inches. Right now, it shoots 65-70 like darts. I will try to get down to the Shade Mt. shoot in late February. I have a special needs son and am currently picking up the dead in Two counties. I never know when I need to work. Yea! Iam the Reaper. LOL It is just hard to plan ahead.

what do the Raven's run vs the Redtails as far as cost....?

If I remember right, Jim had told me when I started my build that his entry bows were $480. Of course, that price went up with custom orders. For example, I wanted a tempered bamboo core. Type of wood lams, riser woods that are hard to find and in my case the beavertail grip.

Oh man Jon, that turned out great and just wait till the osage starts to darken as it ages!!!

Craig, agree 100% that you won’t go wrong with a Mahantango bow!!! Also the the cost of material has gone up and so will the price of his bows depending on what woods/extras/finish you pic…ask me how i know lol!!!
