My wife and I went antiquing yesterday and do believe I scored a screaming eagle tree stand and a dozen arrows. If someone can confirm the stand and I. D. the arrows. Brand & spine

For only 20$ I couldn’t pass it up.

For $20.00 you got a buy of a lifetime.

Great score! Rock solid hanger!

Still looks tree-worthy too. I used Loc-Ons and they're still going strong. But do yourself a favor and mod it with a bigger padded seat. Your butt will thank you!

that's the bracket mount version. Really good stand!

You got a good one! I knew it was a Screaming Eagle when I saw the little swing out bow holder. I installed a nice footrest on the one I had with metal conduit & a thicker cushion. Could do four hour sits with no problems in it! Shot some critter from it too!

$20?!

Wow you did good

Yes it is screaming eagle and the best tree stand ever made IMO.

Great score!

Great I still have my original from decades ago they were rock solid and didn't make any noise, awsome stands.

Are the arrows glass?

Can't help on the arrows but that's a steal of a deal on the stand. None better, I have I think 6 originals bought from Paul Brunner and a dozen more made a little larger. Also that smaller stand I think called the Eaglet.

You can send it to TX so I can test it in the heat, I'll shipping.

Doug you got a super deal, those stands are strong and quite.

Great stands. Having said that I am not lugging that thing in and out each. If it goes up it is going in a good spot and staying there. Too heavy and noisy to do that

From: Lenny

Are they still making making them ?

From: Nemophilist
Date: 06-Feb-23

Yes, Screaming Eagle Treestands are still made. (http://www.screamingeagle.us/TreeStands.html)

I like their Eaglet stand. It's a smaller and lighter version of their regular size stand.

Sorry for studdering!

Best stand there is!

From: Phil Magistro

I still have an Eaglet that I bought in the late 80s although it doesn't get used much anymore. In Paul Brunner's ad for the full-sided treestand he hung five elk for the stand. In another he hunt a VW Beetle.

Think I’ll use mine this fall but I’m only gonna go up 5 foot ??

Welded up about two dozen "Imitations" over the years. Made them taller tho so all I have to do is lean forward a bit to be upright. I agree, great design.

Phil i remember seeing a VW beetle hanging from the stand in an add Paul Brunner put out to sell them. Brings back alot of old memories. That's a great treestand, $ 20 dollars is a great find for them.

In my 1998 Screaming Eagle catalog the standard tree stand was $130, x large seat one was $137 and the Eaglet was $120. All prices rounded up by five cents. I recently aquired one but haven't used it.

You did real good!

Phil and Wapiti,

If you scroll up to where I posted the Screaming Eagle catalog, you will see the VW Beetle hanging from the treestand. I even circled it.

I still have that catalog. I knew a few hunters that loved those stands. I’m surprised no one has identified the shafts yet. I’m stumped.

From: Starfire
Date: 06-Feb-23

I have two of them. Had three but one was stolen.

From: PhantomWolf
Date: 07-Feb-23

I sold mine to a young engineer where I worked for $75 when I retired. I had already decided then that it would only be ground hunting for me.

From: Bigwoods
Date: 07-Feb-23

My dad still has a screaming eagle. They are nice stands although very heavy and not the easiest to put up. I think there are much better options these days but they are nice.

They are a little heavy but if there's another strong enough to hang a car from it's news to me.Hanging the SE Boss (bracket mount version) is as easy as it gets. http://www.screamingeagle.us/TreeStands.html

From: kaw369

I wish they still sold the woolie buggers. I would be in that market. Regret not buying them when I purchased my last stand.

The Eaglet (smaller version) is not heavy to me (11 pounds), and they are not hard to set-up. Especially the bracket mount version. I've been using Screaming Eagle Treestands (mostly the Eaglets) since 1988. And them being able to hang a VW Beetle from one is a plus to me.
