If you have not done so already, I would encourage you to read Silvertip by Robert Windauer. His writing style kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. I feel like I got to know Schafe a little better right up to "the very end" when Windauer ended the book in astonishing style.
Worth the read. Paul Schafer did in one short lifetime what many of us will never do in a full lifetime.

It was a great book. For not being a writer he did a tremendous job. And Paul lived a lifetime in the years he was here. Was a great bowhunter. I always wanted one of his bows and finally got one. I have two now. The old style and the new style

I've owned 3 Silvertips. Two originals and one by Dave. The originals were both 60" and 70# The one by Dave is 58" and 77#. They all shot great.
The book is incredibly well done. For a non-writer, so to speak, I give it an A+++.
Paul is missed by all.
