Looks like a lot of FOC. :))

Yep short draw

Arrows flying like darts is a joke and a poor one at that. If arrows flew like darts from a bow it'd be hard to hit anything, especially at long range. Quite a poor analogy. IMO Frank

Yet no lack of penetration!

From: Pdiddly2

With the trend towards EFOC they do fly like darts...lawn darts.

You guys would find something wrong with a brick of Gold..

Never a dull moment,

Would it be safe to say,my darts fly like arrows

From: Bigdog 21
Date: 21-Jan-23

Lol.

From: longbow1968

Do you guys aim your darts or throw instinctive;)

From: ahunter76
Date: 21-Jan-23

Those darts all grouped real nice. Lots better than the arrows I see posted.

Instinctive. You can’t aim em. That ain’t traditional

I didn't have any bare shafts to tune them

From: bowhunt
Date: 22-Jan-23

I think the phrase comparing arrows to darts is that there is not much fishtailing or porposing when a darts thrown. An arrow flying that way is well tuned and straightening out quickly without much fishtailing or porpoising.

So not a bad analegy in that regard.

You can sure see that gap between the right wing and left wing darts...!

Need about 125 grains up front..lol

Way overspined on those..

I say my arrows fly like lasers. Lasers are pretty straight from what I’ve seen.

From: M60gunner

I often wondered how comparing darts to arrows was relevant. If my arrows flew like darts I would be very unhappy. I did once, sold those arrows.

I’d say It’s just a saying. We all know what it means. Kind of like like saying you shoot instinctive. We all know what that means too

From: ahunter76
Date: 22-Jan-23

I use that statement & it is as bowhunt says. Bowhunt says, I think the phrase comparing arrows to darts is that there is not much fishtailing or porposing when a darts thrown. An arrow flying that way is well tuned and straightening out quickly without much fishtailing or proposing. So not a bad analogy in that regard.

From: N Y Yankee

What did the first guy who threw a dart say it flew like?

From: bodymanbowyer
Date: 22-Jan-23

It went straight as an arrow

From: Corax_latrans
Date: 22-Jan-23

“It went straight as an arrow.”

BULLSEYE!!

From: Runner
Date: 22-Jan-23

He said it flew like a short spear.

Seriously if you have an issue with the expression "like a dart" you're way too uptight. Pretty much every common expression could be picked apart with that attitude.

From: gluetrap

what bowhunt said.

From: Draven
Date: 22-Jan-23

If you take good care, they will grow and become arrows

From: Andy Man

YEP! and scary sharp too

From: Don T. Lewis

Are those vintage darts? I never seen them with Turkey feathers.

From: bodymanbowyer

Wasn't the game originally called Piks.

From: pondscum2
Date: 25-Jan-23

if my arrows flew like my darts, i wouldn't be eating much beef. i miss throwing in the dart league...

From: DeerDave
Date: 25-Jan-23

Yeah but throwing darts is instinctive lol

From: olddogrib
Date: 25-Jan-23

According to Pdiddly2 and crookedstix that's identical to a Frisky group!

From: Jack Whitmrie jr

Flew like a laser!

The problem with gold bricks are that they are so dang heavy...

From: reddogge
Date: 25-Jan-23

My friend from New England called them "Dahts".

From: pondscum2
Date: 27-Jan-23

yeah, "R"s are extinct north of the Mason-Dixon line...

From: Archergreg

I think the wood ones are made specifically for American darts which is different from regular english darts we are most familiar. I use the american darts on an english board. There are 2 sizes of this style of darts I've seen, the ones pictured are the larger of the 2. American darts seem to be common in Jersey and the Philly area from what i have seen in my travels.

I do hobby woodworking on the side and you have me wanting to make some of those. I’ve played a fair amount of darts but I must honestly say I’ve never seen any that weren’t plastic. Never even occurred to me. I like em. Great way to use feather scrap too.

From: Pdiddly2

Olddogrib…yes…that is indeed what a Frisky group looks like!
