Folks, I floated an idea passed Craig Ekin with Howard Hill Archery Co. that I have for the 20th Anniversary of the Howard Hill Classic. Yes, I know the 20th isn’t until June of 2024, BUT, it’s never too early to plan, and this idea needs some serious planning in my opinion.

I asked him what he thought of having twenty Howard Hill 20th Anniversary Commemorative bows made, numbered 1 through 20. The designs for the riser is a Silver Elephant on one side of the riser’s grip and a Silver Howard Hill broadhead on the other side. Craig liked the idea and yes, there will be only 20 made.

So far, a total of 11 bows have been spoken for with several that want a particular number on the bow.

First, the name of this bow will be written on the lower limb and 20th Anniversary Commemorative Bow will be written on the upper limb.

The bow that will be made for me should be made in time to display at this year’s 19th Howard Hill Classic.

I welcome your comments and have more details to come.

I'd like a HH classic anniversary bow. I'd like number 4 or 13 in that order if available. Should I talk to you or Craig? Thanks

Date: 20-Jan-23

Brandon, unfortunately 4 & 13 have been spoken for.

Hopefully you have another number you'd like.

More info folks.

The limbs will be four lams, the two inner will be bamboo and the two outer will be osage.

The riser will be an exotic dark hardwood so the silver inlays will certainly stand out.

The grip will be wrapped in American Elk.

Alright folks, it's now time for the 20th Anniversary Commemorative Bow's name.

Of course, it is "The Howard Hill Classic", named for the event that has kept Mr. Hill's name in the forefront as it should be.

Wow, it looks like there maybe only 7 bows left to order. Pretty cool, after all, there will only ever be 20 bows made, EVER, that will be named "The Howard Hill Classic", from the Howard Hill Archery Company.

I've only owned 1 hill, had a tembo, hadn't had much if any interest in another... until now.

I got to attend the classic for the first time last year, I volunteered to help out since I was going to be in the area. After meeting terry and finding out what he has done of his own accord to put on the shoot for 18 years prior, imo this is a great man who I would support in any means possible. He doesnt do it for himself, doesn't do it for money, he does it for love of archery, he does it for us. He puts himself, his money, his heart into our sport for us.

I'm all in. Thank you Terry.

Oh, and by the way John, you are to kind for what you posted about me yesterday, thank you so much.

I know the 20th Anniversary for the Howard Hill Classic is over a year away, BUT, if ya want to give Craig Ekin time to make your by June, 2024, you may want to get your order in ASAP.

Rise and tip overlay wood is Granadillo. The inlays of the elephant and the broadhead are sterling silver. Has 2 inner lams of bamboo sandwiched by osage under clear glass. The grip is stitched elk leather.

That looks great, I had been wondering what the riser wood was. I love the "wood that sings" already have a kephart done up to pair it with.

OMG, that is beautiful! I just got my first HH bow about 10 days ago, and I'm loving it! Now these pics, got me biting my tongue to keep from calling Craig to order one! Love the Osage, everything about it!

From: THarris
Date: 02-Aug-23

David, there will only ever be 20 of these made, jump on in.

Terry Harris

From: Bearcurve59

I'm sure thinking seriously about it! I don't need it, but that ain't got nothing do with it, like you said only the 20! IDK, vut if so I want #19

From: Bearcurve59
Date: 02-Aug-23

What's so amazing to me, is I remember all the hype of the first HH Classic. All I'd ever shot all my life was couple Howatts, Pearson's, but plenty Bears, all curves! All the LB talk then, when I started thinking LB's then. I started to order a Hill, but got scared of the negative talks of transition from curves to LB. So I compromised, ordered my first and only LB in 2004, a Chaparral Kaibab R/D, still got it, dated 3/04. But by 07 I was still dying to try a Hill! Well circumstances ××, my eyes, shooting problems first time in my life, only got worse, then I went into management at work, quit hunting and shooting altogether until I retired in 016. Soon as I started back, the Hill bug rekindled! Long story short, now I got one it's plain as day? I should've gotten one 15 years ago, and worked on my shooting like I've done past year! Anyways, I'd sure like to have one, more than ever now, but IDK!

David, all I know is this, three of those that have ordered them have told me that they hit on the mark, smooth and accurate.

One had his his at this last HH Classic, he went nuts over how it shot. I do believe the # 19 is still available.

Folks, there are only a few selective numbers left on this "20th Anniversary Commemorative Bow", made exclusively for the 20th Anniversary Howard Hill Classic.

If you're thinking of ordering one, especially to try and get it before the HH Classic gets here, YOU MIGHT WANT TO CALL CRAIG EKIN w/ Howard Hill Archery Co. 406-363-1359

Well, I just found out that this Commemorative Bow will be the last Limited Edition Bow that Craig Ekin w/ Howard Hill Archery Co. will build.

Only a hand full of selected numbers left folks. The # 12 was just spoken for today.

TWO AND A HALF MONTHS AWAY, for the 20th Anniversary of the Howard Hill Classic.

Folks, many of you know that Craig Ekin is retiring and the doors the Howard Hill Archery Co. will close at the end of April.

There are approximately SIX COMMEMORATIVE BOWS left and these will be the LAST LIMITED EDITION bows Craig will ever build.

If you're interested, you need to give Craig a call.
