I have on and off, especially when bowhunting from the ground. I have two insulated cold weather parkas and bibs that are reversable. Brown camo on one side and snow camo on the other.

I had a snow camo military jacket that I loved. Wore it out. Never replaced it. I miss it. Good snow camo can make someone disappear. Saw it first hand. It was crazy.

I take an old sheet and streak it with magic marker and make a poncho out of it.

I use snow camo cover up bibs. They slide over my regular hunting bibs. I only wear the jacket if I plan on still hunting otherwise leave my upper body dark to blend in with a tree.

I've done the sheet poncho thing myself. I also have eastern European army surplus that goes over insulated clothes. It's really cheap.

Years ago I bought a set of oversized white sweatshirt and pants but never used them. Probably not so oversized anymore!

You will disappear. I like the stuff that has a few dark branches mixed in with the white.
I was sold when I spotted a guy in it walking through the woods during late season. Even though he was moving, if I turned my head away, when I looked back in his direction it took me a bit to find him.

If you're in the woods, I think ASAT is better. In open fields, the white sheet will work. I have a friend that used to hunt the game preserve here by laying down in the middle of a snow covered cut corn field. All he put over him was a plain white sheet. He actually shot deer that way but with a muzzleloader. Not that far of shots either. You just need some higher cover to be able handle a bow.

Exactly. Me too. I knew precisely where he was but couldn't see him... and he was moving... right in front of me. That's when I bought my snow camo.

Like Krag, I go to the store and buy a white sweatshirt and sweatpants. I usually add some black lines to look like branches on the top half. Since I made my last set I’ve ditched the pants part and just use the top. I usually make a new one every 5 or 6 years. They’re hard to keep clean and eventually end up pink from the kills
Here’s an old photo of what it looks like from a flintlock season. The hat was a joke between some friends. They said I wouldn’t wear it during the hunt. It blended in well and was surprisingly warm on that cold January evening when I killed that deer at 10yds

Pink coloring will disappear if sprayed with peroxide, then washed in Sport Wash if you treat the clothing within 24 hours.

Goodwill oversized white dress shirt works also. Us archers had a blast before the smokepoles were legal. Now a rifle can be used. That pretty much put a end to wearing white.

A white top sheet cut however you want, and a can of gray primer and you'll have all you'll likely need for deer hunting.

I have a heavy fleece predator fall gray that I use in snow or asat but the the fall gray is good unless out in open snowy fields.
