Just found out that Frogg Toggs has a poncho, I plan to get one or two to make more Gillie tops. They will be a very lightweight but durable top to add the Gillie strips to. Plus it has a hood already to use. this should be a lot easier than the arms. really looking forward to getting one or two.

Never used those but all of my ghillies are poncho type. I make the poncho out net material.

Some of the Frog Togg material is kind of noisy.

Back when I was working we tested FT for our meter readers. The material was not very durable.

I have that poncho in tan and spray painted black, brown and green to make it camo. I think it would be too noisy for a ghillie if expecting close ground shots. The pitter patter covers up a lot of that rustling in inclement weather.

If you want a deaf deer to hear you from a mile away. I’d stay away from those type of waterproof ponchos/ rain jackets. They are just as noisy as a bag of potato chips. Lol

Tradslinger You should kill a deer wearing it and then post the pic.

Can you shoot a bow while wearing a poncho?

a now deceased buddy (Bruno) had Frogg Toggs. when dry, they were noisy as all get out. after they got wet they were much quieter.
