Trying to find out when this TD Martin/Howatt bow was made..It is a rare bow i'm thinking.. It has a riser just like a early Del Rey..The serial number on the bow is HTDL 9052...That is all i have to go by..Let me know if you might know when it was made... I assume it might be a prototype.. Probably not many of them were made...Thanks, Bob

With 9 being the first number 1989 could be correct. I’m not sure which decade they were made though.
Does it have black limb tip overlays?

No, wood like the riser.. Both back and belly have overlays.

That was a regular production model. I bought mine from the Kittredge Bow Hut in 1980. They called it the Signature Hunter Back Packer Take Down. Martin Archery/Damon Howatt named it the MX#90 Pro-Trail King. Image is from the 1977 catalog.

Ugly Coyote, the riser pictured in my post just above yours is not a hunter riser, it is of a 1961 Del Rey riser which is not in the catalog… I’ve seen many hunter risers, but not a target riser that is shaped just like a first year Del Rey, this one has a length of 68” and draw weight 38#@28”…
But at this point it no longer matters, the OP sold the bow…

Still, it would be interesting to know. It certainly seems custom, maybe at the factory, maybe not. Hopefully someone will tell us.

Is this the same bow that David Ross had and asked questions about back in 2015? Same draw weight and overall length
