A few months ago I posted a restoration of a 1957-58 Pearson 954 recurve.
Well, I've done it again over the last months on a few others so here they are... very picture heavy.

Up until 1963 the only bows I had seen were self bows and solid fibreglass thumpers. When I first saw the palamino I thought it was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. (Hadn't discovered girls yet at my tender age of 12).
Great job on bringing some of these old classics back to life.

Some people think the old, time and use worn bows should be left as they are and never brought back to how they looked when they were new. Seeing these old bows brought back to show all of their incredible beauty is why I’ve never agreed with those people. Incredible work! Thanks for sharing with us.

Thank you all for your kind words!! It takes a lot of work and time to bring bows back to life but I enjoy doing it and it's kind of therapeutic.
Now I'm on the lookout for fasco phantoms and Pearson bushmasters to rebirth. A wing pres 1 pre 1964 would also be nice.
Anyway, let's see what my next project is...

Nice work. It is quite rewarding to make them look better than what they came like when new. I've done quite a few, myself. It does get hard on the hands when you have arthritis.

That's great that you were able to find a 62" Palomino in a hunting weight; those are pretty rare birds. Good luck on finding a FASCO Phantom; that will be an even rarer find.

A wonderful series on a fine project. These are some of the finest and most influential bows ever built. So it is fine that you have restored and preserved them.
For others,

if you find one of these you do not have to restore it; these are fine artifacts from a better time and should bu used and enjoyed. - lbg
Such a much better time. Kindly excuse the digression, but what a nasty time we are in. Never mind the economy, but the civilized culture is in great jeopardy. What a terrible mess! - lbg

That Pearson TD was my latest acquisition.
I had restored its own recurve twin a few months ago, couldn't salvage the leather grip on the recurve though...
