Took this old Ben Pearson lemonwood and but a old tablecloth backing and a garage sale ladies leather handbag for grip..
I think it came out nice.

As best I can tell it’s either a 1941 or 1942.
It is really worn out as a bow. But at 10-15 yards it will stack arrows as well as I can shoot.

Does that match your tartan colors? Nice job, by the way.

It was fun and easy..The string is the most expensive part!
The glue and and spar urethane cost about the same but they can make lots of bows!
Tablecloth was free, the leather purse was $5 a garage sale.
Had a burn spot on the bottom.
All soft quality leather, and I have enough for 4-5 more bows!
And I don’t worry if something doesn’t work I’m out very little.
And I’m learning lots!
The black one was my first try.

Didn’t show the black and white lines very well on the black one.
That one was backed with some clearance Walmart cloth. 4$ for 4 yards.
I could do 10 bows with that much.
